  • Any advice for an absolute beginner on the higher strings. I find my plucking on espeically G, but also D, makes sour "sproing" sounds and not the nice "boom boom" clean sounds that I get more lower strings. I don't expect a G string to sound like an E string, but it sounds wrong, and if I pluck lighter, it's not as loud as the lower strings.

  • I've heard this advise in other lessons, but the way you explained it, it finally clicked and I sound much cleaner. Thanks!

  • You're the best. you explained it perfectly. I've been doing the wrong thing for a month now and I got frustrated finally. Even if it's 2AM, it was worth it to finally get how to walk correctly and why.

  • I just started taping my pinky and ring finger on my plucking hand, so that they are bent in towards my palm and out of the way, and it’s given me great improvement. I had issues with those fingers hitting other strings, and I have long fingers. It may look awkward to others but works for me, until I’m able to play with my pinky and ring finger in a bent position, naturally. Love your channel Dude.

  • "Rolling" the fingertips, that's how I needed it put. Been looking through several beginner bass videos, this one got through. Thanks!

  • Apoyando vs. Tirando. Both are good and long established guitar techniques but depends on what kind of sounds you’re going after.

  • Well this isn’t Thumpin and Pluckin . Larry Graham who created that style called it that. But it was “OTHERS” who called it Slap Bass
