You’re not visiting Gibson and not checking out Les Pauls, and were lucky enough to see two fresh faces with the Warren Haynes signature that has a chunky mahogany neck, a pair of growly P-90s, and most notably, a small switch that ignites a clean boost for an angrier purr.
The other Lester we saw a sunburst Standard 50s beast that had its pickup covers removed and gave it a pure 1959/60 vibe.
At its core, the Platypus delivers the unmistakable Firebird sound. Alnico V-loaded mini-humbuckers power the guitar, providing a punchy and versatile tone palette. This deviates slightly from the original Platypus models known for their P-90 pickups, offering a unique twist on the vintage formula.
The Platypus features modern appointments like a Graph Tech nut, an aluminum Nashville Tune-o-matic bridge, and Grover Mini Rotomatic tuners for smooth playability and exceptional tuning stability. These features cater to modern players’ needs while maintaining the classic Firebird’s essence.

Holy shite terrible demo who was the blonde chick tearin it up ????????
The kid is awesome!!! Dig the lp as well! Wish Gibson would just make all their lp’s sound like this, thick and juicy tone ????
Gibson yawn ???????????? wheres epiphone?
he avoided the price on the Warren Haynes P-90 Les Paul. He didn't give a price on anything..
This kid will probably be the next Chet Atkins. I was lucky to be the guitarist in a band that was backing up Chet Atkins for a TV show. He was not only an amazing guitarist but also the nicest man.
Hey gibson how about some new colors on "supreme" besides black and red…
How many more "Signature" Les Paul's are they going to come out with? Other than the double white and Warrens name on it its just rehashed Gibson once again. Gibson is just disappointing. But people will purchase just because it says Gibson.
never let that girl cook again ????????
I think that a Non-Reverse Firebird would've made more sense for a Warren Haynes signature.
I can tell he listens to real music. ❤????????????
Dale Coleman from Expressway Firebird !
Ok what legend reincarnated into this kid
"We toyed with the idea of putting a platypus on it"
– Trogly's head exploding
Wow this kid is amazing. But I thought dimarzio had a patent on double cream bobbins?
Its a curse. I have heard it before. Man that kid can play. Sometimes it is better to step away.
Probably won't make them for lefties because they're actually interesting models.
The only tone you can't get is an in tune one. When i was at Sweetwater somebody told me that Gibson's are overpriced furniture that wont stay in tune.
Worst Fire bird demo ever. Yikes!
Tha fuck this little pre Bar Mizva kid talkin about vintage sound???????
????????????????????
Man, this kid is gonna be a beast of a player when he grows up
These are only great guitars because Saxon Weiss is playing them
Gibson Les Paul keepin‘ the g-string out of tune since 1952.
Authentic I guess.
That fella can play!
Not a Real firebird. Should have made it neck though. I would of bought one
I can hear Trogly and the GearPage grimacing at the Firebird
Prices?
That kid can play!
Why are the Firebirds so expensive?
Would’ve been good to hear these guitars in tune.
