Excellent Review!????????????????????
Great review… scary how good $129 can be… subscribed
3+ years later :
How's it working?
People talk about neck dive. Lighter the body the more it's going to dive.
The string/pickup alignment is way off, especially on the neck pickup.Bridge pickup not so bad but still questionable.Must affect string volume balance surely.
I just bought the same finish p bass version just to dick around.
might use this as an upgrade platform, only thing stopping me is the neck dive, might just save up for a squier affinity or somethin
Thanks for this excellent review! Just found a new one on ebay for $88.00!! Can't wait to goof around with it when it arrives.
Good review ????
Is it neck heavy, causing you to hold it up with your left hand????
Buy some standard fender jazz pickups and there you go…
I feel like every glarry guitar I've gotten my hands on feels VERY light in weight. Like too light, a lot of neck dive but also there are times you can get these instruments for $65 with tax and shipping like I did depending on the sale they have so I guess it's really not a big deal lol.
You are the only other person I’ve ever seen that wears newsboy style caps with the brim slightly askew like myself. I respect the review and the swagger.
Just ordered this exact bass! I'm hoping it'll sound and play as good as yours
For the "Persnickety" of you, I sugest getting a Higher Spec Control Plate!! Fck spending money getting "HIGH" grade Pickups.. the Next guy that you'll probably sell it to won't give a fuck, 'cuz it's NOT a "NAME" Brand!! (From an "OLD" G who's Probably been Playing LONGER than Some of you've Been ALIVE!!) In MY Day, to spend what the Majority of you can Pay for what's avaiable to Today, is MILES Better than the Sht I had to pay back in the day for the Same Prices!!! Fck "EGO" Learn to Play GOOD, and you'll BE Good!!
My Glarry pick ups don’t line up on 2 of them
Look man nothing against you but I am sick and tired I have purchased this base and I'm trying to figure out how to set it up I am a noob and I am very f**** stubborn and I will figure it out the problem is all I'm finding is f k i n reviews I know it is bang for your book this is what you need to get as a starter base guitar what have you but how in the hell can you properly play this thing because I'm a penny pincher and very stubborn when you can't find a way to set the damn thing up … F k i n stupid this is to every basis who did a review how about doing something out of the box do a setup or how to set the base correctly again I already know it is a decent package I could tell by the quality… Anyways I'm bitching at you dude im particular man I'm just frustrated Hal from the factory they could have at least got it there whatever again I'm just bitching just ignore me man
Got a link on that hat?
I've reluctantly come to the same conclusion that I also need a fiver for my standard C guitar musings. A decent compressor will tame those volume dips in the pickups. I'm normally not a fan of Jazz pups. I usually lean towards P bass or bass humbucker style, but for $130?!! SOLD! It's hard to screw up a bass build, but that nut is kinda freaky.
Thanks for the demo bro!
Nice clean playing, and that thing sounds like the tits. Remarkable balance for a bass at any price, you can pay literally 10-20X more for a Fender that's just a neck heavy with a garbage B string. Love the look of it too. I don't need Glarry, but I kinda want to make Glarry a part of my life.
Jazz bass pick ups are configured to act as a humbucker. Turning one down makes them single coil.
I like how the guy has a double bass just sitting in the background
WOW! perfect sound for me! how could this be just $130? will definitely consider this.
Thanks for the great review and for actually playing the bass like a bass.
Nice. How's it looking a few months in?
