Subscribed right away. I love your videos! I’m on the hunt for my first bass (been playing guitar for a couple of years now) but this Gretsch short scale really caught my eye, daaaamnnnn ❤❤
That bass has single coil pickups and not humbuckers!!
One thing to check with these basses is the pickups fender has them marked as mini humbuckers but from 6 videos involving 6 different basses they all had single coil pickups in a humbucker housing.
Can anyone comment on neck dive with this bass? Thanx!
Check under the pickup covers and you'll find two single coil pickups, with one massive copper coil wrapped around two rail magnets, not humbuckers as advertized. But don't bother taking it up with Fender, they will do everything possible to deny that, won't honor their warranty, and will tell you that "when both humbuckers are on it's in humbucking mode.'
So I bought this model, and the humbuckers were not humbuckers, they were lazily wound as single coils, and Fender/Gretsch so far isn't honoring the warranty
Dude just got this bass two days ago and I love it ????
0:38 FURBABY!
0:53 MOAR FURBABY!!
eine brennende Jazz-Gitarre… sehr metal.
The cat has a very fluffy tail.
So glad you liked your chocolate! and the bass suits you! Im missing it already lol
Your cat is absolutely gorgeous
Is it possible to make a low-end electronic bass sound like a high-end electronic bass by using analog pedals? it's that possible? Regards
I has got the green yin. I like it. It's green and shiny.
I tried it a month ago. Amazing neck for the price.
What a handsome bass! Can’t wait to hear it
These guys are beautiful and affordable. Shame I can't convince myself to buy a short scale because of my hideous man hands.
Good purchase jonny….cool bass….i'm looking forward to see how it sounds…cheers …????????????????
I’ve never really considered Gretsch basses although they do have some really nice looking instruments. Looking forward to a full review. Thanks for bringing different things to our attention. ????????
YOU GOT THE GRETSCH!! YES!!! Can’t wait for the review
Congratulations, that bass is beautiful, we already want to hear it sound! Greetings
Yo Jonny, what do you think about if Gretsch made a long scale version of this bass? Honestly, it's such a great player for the price, played several myself and I love the feel, playability and tone. I've always been a long scale fan though (cant stand short scales for whatever reason) but it sucks when the least expensive long scale Gretsch is 1000 bucks. Even if they don't want to put out a long scale for the same price, maybe $500 and you get filtertrons in there or maybe the fancy block inlays instead of dots?
