  • I have this exact same guitar and it’s got the nicest sparkling cleans of any stock humbucker guitar !

  • I was looking at various models in a guitar shop recently and he advised against the Bigby ,he said when they go wrong they get expensive to repair, advised me to get a hardtail?

  • I have the 5655, which is almost identical to the one you have in this video, except it is the smaller body size. I love the smaller body versus the larger one, because it is more comfortable to play. Reminds me of a hollow lightweight version of a Les Paul, but with filtertron‘s.

  • Cool guitar with a touch of country playing. Surprising video. As well as a blues tones. Probably why Clapton and Niel Young both liked the white falcon

  • If you haven't bought a Gretsch Buy one, please! You know how great they are. this white one looks and sounds perfect in your hands.

  • Awesome. Thank you. Sure, kids love the drive. How about some clinically clean tones. Roll down volume and tone for finger style neck ? The guitar itself. Resonance. That’s what we would love to know. Thank you.

  • Man that's awesome you made it to Jerry's! He's really filling a gap in the market putting bigsbys and les trems on these lefty Gretsches.

  • Very cool! Never tried a Gretsch guitar. We do have a Gretsch short scale bass that we love and use on most of our tracks now.

  • Hi Shane.
On the strength of your review I bought one of these from Manny's today (left handed).
For the money this is an awesome guitar!
Straight out of the box the action and intonation were pretty much spot on (imagine that Gibson)!!
Sounds just right for swing, jump blues, rockabilly.
    Could not be more impressed.
Keep up the good work and thank you for honest reviews.

  • It dosnt matter what kind of guitar you pick up, you can play the perfect riff for the style of guitar!

  • Shane, can you please review a STELLAR MERCURY 002 LES PAUL COPY? I OWN one of the white two pickup models. Kinda rare, hard to find. STELLAR guitars closed their doors in 2017. Haven't seen a real review on these guitars yet. Thanx

  • I can't hear any significant difference between this guitar and my 59 Vintage Select 6128T Duo Jet with TV Jones Filtertrons. It's almost impossible these days to justify the extra coin the Pro version costs.

  • I have a 5422 in white for years now and it’s still enjoyable to play. It’s every bit as light as my Stratocasters and it’s got a character all it’s own!

  • That's a classy axe. Definitely the body style I would go for if I bought a Gretsch. The big thick single cuts like the Falcons would have to be even more uncomfortable than a Les Paul up the neck near the body.

  • The way most Gretsch electronics work, one can leave the individual volumes low, master up, crank up the amp real hot, and still be at bedroom volume. The pot volumes effectively work as gain controls or what I'm calling pseudo boosters.

  • Thanks, Shane. Gretsch really do offer a lot in their Electromatic range. I'm still enjoying the G5220 Electromatic Jet I picked up shortly after seeing your review/demo of a similar model years back. Getting at a very good price from Sky during one of their sales made it all the better!

  • If you can find it, get the G5422T version, made in Korea, not China. The Chinese-made guitars have a wonky outline and help prop up a communist dictatorship.

  • That is a beautiful guitar!!! Way to go on the "exclusive" to Jerry's Lefty Guitars, Jerry!!! Fantastic job on the customization!! Shane, thank you for including the link for us "converted" lefty's!!! The clean tones really Rock! Thank you for yet another great demo, review, and video!!! Please keep them coming!!!!!!

  • Awesome Demo/Review of a Stunning Guitar. Gretsch are so amazing and I have excellent Tuning Stability with my Gretsch with Bigsby G5248T Guitar

  • I love my Gretsch that I got at Jerry’s. This one sounds great with the Filtertrons and hollow body. Love the country stuff you were playin.

  • I'm a fan of the Gretsch layout of controls with the master volume and you can also get the classic bridge tone with a little neck dialled in.

  • that's a really nice guitar, like a thinner version of the single cut I own and love.. Speaking as a lefty, I wish Gretsch would sort out the Bigsby thing with the lefties – it's practically impossible to get a guitar with a Bigsby unless you spend an extra £260 on a Bigsby and put it on your guitar yourself. This guitar is $260 more than the non-Bigsby version. There are no licenced Lefty Bigsbys to my knowledge
