GT-1 vs POD Express vs Spark Go | Which should you buy?

Here are my thoughts having owned all of these. It is my subjective opinion and experience. Results may vary! Let us know your experience in the comments.

GT-1 – Great for live rig running into tube amp
Pod Express – best overall sound when going direct
Spark Go – most user friendly…still sounds great through PA…needs the footswitch to be more gig-ready…best practice tool…bluetooth makes everything easier

  • By the way, the Spark controller foot switch makes it much more versatile, no matter the Spark 40/50, Mini, or Go. You can get them used and affordable for most. It can also work as a page turn for OnSong if you are not using the Spark product.

  • When I use an amp model, I use a Laney LFR 212 and it’s a beast. Really fills the church and plenty of bars/clubs that I play at. It pushes air and feels the most natural when I can’t have my Orange. I have a quad cortex, (I know, very expensive) but I got it when it came out in the early days and it’s fun. I have plugged my spark (and spark 2) into the Laney and it rocks hard as well. If I had this stuff in the 80’s…..!!!! Keep up the good work Justin. Been following you for quite some time. Blessings, brother.
