The Carol Ann Jb100 mixed with the Marshall, can be the best tone ever created for a guitar, by FAR.
10 years later….stuck with the combos
So funny watching this again in 2019. Where he has just stayed with Fender amps. And his playing and collection have matured into such a fantastic guy player writer singer. And there are always les Paul’s yet strats Tele 335 and the rest. But it’s fun to look 10 yrs back. I’ve followed him since I first got a chance to get a CD of him over here in Australia. Now I have two signature guitars black 335 only 100 made and a phelman blue les Paul 2003 yet his Fender reproduction of his amp is so impossible for veteran affairs pensioner to get in Australia $9500 for me to get one. And they look like they have come straight from 1957. The amp is a bucket list but at 49 it’s going to be hard unless I sell my car. Since the army and my ptsd I’ve lost my wife kids house car dog self respect. Yet I’ve tried so hard to afford his fender amp yet it’s getting further. Maybe I’ll have to sell my car and get Veteran taxis to my drs appointments. As my only mates are all over the country or under the dirt doing our job for the safety of others with our brothers from the USA. I’m sitting in my tiny box place my guitars where all I was aloud to keep. Yet I left most for my kids so they didn’t miss out. So I said my records cds and my guitars and 2 amps she actually let me keep. What a shitty life for the last 17 yrs not one date but a service dog sits here with me watching these old Utube stuff while it rains. And I carry on like a child on a comment. Yet no one will really see this I don’t think as it’s older clip. So I’m just blowing out some steam. As Joes music has brought me threw some dark days. Once a big confident soldier and could play guitar on stage and even go to the movies. Now I feel like I turn to a 5yr old when a bunch of people are around me. But music can be my crutch until it all stops. Guitar centre what a place to visit also never happen for an Australian. I’d just have to sit in one store and be amazed for hrs. Lol. The Marshall sounds so much better to me than those boutique amps.
hard to duplic Eric Johnson's tone (Fender Strat and amps, Marshall amps) with a Les Paul, etc… but Joe's done it. Why? I don't like either tones. See Jimmy Page for lessons boys.

I could listen to Joe talk gear all day….as long as he keeps throwing in playing examples every 30 seconds.
