Anyone know what scale he is playing describing starting around 8:10, the modified pentatonic scale, using the e rather than the f? I have never heard of this before.

I love the idea of centering your blues lines around the 6th. Really nice. It sounds dorian as well. Nice the double notes as well.
Good stuff ????

wow…everyone was young once.
What a lovely axe. Shame they stopped making them so soon.
I used to not know who he was and hearing his name just assumed he was a woman. Now I know why I didn’t know who he was. His influences are exactly the people who make jazz and blues seem incredibly boring and some of the most commercial jazz, ie take five, that sounds the very most like origins of dreadful smooth jazzers like Kenny G. A guitarist could go their whole life without hearing him play and miss absolutely nothing. And BB King- he is good but if i watch a concert I want to see BB King not 20 other random guys who sit on stage and play 90% of the solos. And Dumble amps… overrated, overpriced, and IMO sounds worse than average. His music is not rhythmic, it’s not moving, it doesn’t make me want to move, it doesn’t make me feel anything, it’s just “pretty.” It has none of the passion, it’s basically the watered down white version that was made to sell albums; except he obviously didn’t do a good job of selling anything except interest in ridiculously pompous amplifiers.
And btw- listening to his voice, and abnormally puffy upper torso, and I am still not sure that he isn’t a woman. In old age he has bit of resemblance to Kaitlin. Not sure exactly where it’s common for men to talk like this certainly nowhere I ever went. Must be one of the places where those tough holy rolling southerners stem from. The kind of guys who confuse loving Jesus for being attracted to images of a muscular long haired ancient rock star lol.

This is boring- and the tone hurts my ears. Enough treble Daniel San
Is this the legendary dumble amp? Sounds a lot like my hotrod deluxe lol
Is this where Ralph Machio went after the Crossroads? I wonder what happened to Steve Vai. I like that version more than the real one. I still don’t get if he was the devil or the other guy lol
I thought he was the 4th Porcaro brother 🙂 or Ralph Maccio from cross roads
His voice didn't change a little bit 😀 looks like another person using his voice 😀
Love this Man…such a Master.
Thanks
As I listened to this whole thing you have gone slow in such a way that I got it ! . This is the best blues lesson EVER ????????????????
