His voice : I hear a combo of Bruce Springsteen and Eddie Vedder
Sounds similar to Travis Meadows, who you did a video on. They are both songwriters who have worked together
06:20 that's because he sounds like chris corenell and layne staley
Sounds a bit like Chris Cornell
I get willy nelson and bruce springsteen vibes from his voice.
It’s like Willie Nelson and Bruce Springsteen had a baby!
He sounds like Travis Meadows.
Stephen Wilson Jr. is, among other things, grunge-inspired. You can hear some Chris Cornell seeping out of his vocals.
Yeah, man, love that Stephen Wilson Jr. love! He's awesome.
Nebraska Springsteen vibes.
Well said at the end of the video! We are who we are.
His album son of dad is incredible, 22 songs and they are all so good. The song Werewolf gives me chills, honestly every song is just so good. ????????????????
Live from the print shop. ????
I'm 50yo and been playing guitar for 40 years and watched hundreds of artists during and this is simply special – unique, solid and profound.
If Chris Cornell, George Jones, Bruce Springsteen, Eddie Vedder, and Merle Haggard had a son…
Hardy harmony hits big here.
i come for the guitar lessons on this channel, I stay for the life lessons
Feels like Ralph Stanley mixed with Bruce Springsteen
I agree stand by me is amazing
This song flies in the face of what we know about singing and vocal performance. How the HELL can he hit and sustain notes with his mouth so closed?!?!
You're playing in a C sharp with your reaction, which is correct, but for some that want to know the actual tuning he's in. You'll be able to hit all those pockets and that vibe. Never had any experience in this tuning before and my acoustic has stayed that way all month. Love your channel.
CGCEGC with a capo on the first fret.
I hope this is a genuine reaction. I enjoy it while believing it is real.
I’d still enjoy it if it was “real” like 90s pro wrestling, but I just want it to be real.
can you tell me the open tuning he is using?
Great song. But it’s sad because it rings true for me for the wrong reasons
He definitely has a John Mark McMillan tone going on. Though he had talent for it I’m glad Steven Wilson Jr didn’t become a singing ventriloquist. ????
It’s a beautiful song he wrote a bout his late father, I still have my dad around but I can feel all the emotions. This matchup with Hardy was great
Can you please explain the tuning that SW Jr uses?
Very Springsteen in the delivery…
I hear a lot of Eddie vedder
his voice reminds me a little bit of Travis Meadows
Recently discovered Stephen…best new music I’ve heard in years! So awesome!
I'm hearing Chris Cornell esp in the stand by me cover
His voice reminds me of Travis Meadows who I believe you made a previous video about. "Sideways" I think
Lost my old dad this year. ????
This song just hits home.
His beat up '70s guitar is gut string and goes with him everywhere. Including in the studio for such an incredible sound. If you haven't watched it, check out his appearance on The Print Shop. Great interview, deep and personal….plus a fantastic performance. Welcome to the fan club!
He sounds like Travis Meadows with lockjaw. He’s fantastic.
Great message at the end of this video, thanks. ????
Stephen Wilson Junior is developing into a Phenomenal Artist. ????❤️????
i wasnt expecting a life lesson from you. Well said, and you got the song, like many of us have.
Do you think he kinda sounds like Travis Meadows….a little?…maybe
