  • 6 inch speakers always suck as when you crank them they fart out, they cant cope with any low end rumble so always pay a couple of euros more for an 8, 10 or 12 speaker in your amp imo.
Usually thats 20 or 30 watt amps.

  • Hello, I got this combo with my first 80€ guitar. I was ready to sell it, but this happened : I have an audio interface UMC202HD and was a bit bored to play 6 hours a day with headphones on ears so I come up with had an idea : I runned amp and cab sims (Jeff Loomis Tone forge 49€ / Archetype Petrucci) through REAPER DAW and then with the speaker cable from one of the monitors output of the interface to the combo input jack (as it has no fx loop) on the clean channel of the combo with gain to 0 and it sound surprisingly WAY better than the overdrive channel. Now I actually really enjoy this combo and also run songsterr through it so I have the drums/metronome synced with the tab. I don't know if it's recommended to do this and if it would have done something similar with an expensive pedalboard but it really saved this amp combo for me.

  • i startet yesterday and got this amp as my first, its okay – how do i do overdrive tho? Is it integrated in a more expensive amp or do i have to buy extra hardware? so many questions :))

  • I've got this amp for my son because, well, it was the cheapest but I'd agree with your first comment that for a beginner, a simple basic amp can also be a very good thing. With an overdrive pedal ( also the cheapest) it sounds quite alright and it's been a fun discovery journey. When the times comes he'll be ready for an upgrade. Great reviews.

  • Do you know by any chance the impedance of the amp, because i want to turn this into a practice head amp

  • My first amp was Blackstar lt echo10. It's an amp without gain control. I bought MG10 wich is way Better than echo. Only minus is headphone output. It's buzzing. The good thing is that I don't need headphones anymore because I am geting better at playing and my dog stoped biting me when I pick up my guitar. Thank you Elmo for your reviews.

  • Many thanks for the honest review. Strictly personally, I appreciate stuff that is cheap, and at the same time usable in someway. Having said that, a shrill per day keeps the roaches away!

  • I think it needs to be played at low volume. In your bedroom or livingroom. If you need it to be loud you could buy 20w or higher. Or an old vox pathfinder 15 ????

  • Wish you could try the discontinued amps made by Samick/Silvertone you find used, all over, and see what you can get for dirt cheap used. Genz Benz had a line called TranzAmp that you find used as well. The one small amp that was really nice IMHO was 'Drive' Branded a one channel 10 watts I really liked. Of course I don't know if you find any of those in Europe

  • ??? Elmo, would you consider trying practice bass amps with guitar to see if there are any hidden gems our there? Thanks!

  • Yikes. Not so nice.
I have an old Vox valvetronix ad30vt that sounds awesome and can keep up with a drummer. I put a 10” greenback in it and use it almost daily (and I have a wall of nice tube amps!)
