The Ultimate Drive is, I would say, between the British True Tone and the Extreme Metal. If the British True Tone doesn't have enough distortion and the Extreme MEtal has too much distortion, the Ultimate Dirve is the right choice

I find this to be a nice gain pedal with a huge amount of headroom. I do not get my level past 10 O'clock or it just is way too powerful. It has a clean aspect to it that makes it pop a bit without that tube screamer mid scoop or the unique Klon mid either. Nice high low switch and does a lot of different gains well. A very good deal, and a decent quality circuit. If used on its own, the level can go higher, but if i want it to match my other pedals, nope. Need to go lower on the level. You can find these for $25 all day/every day. Nice.

Joyo has a similar pedal, why are they alike?
m/ on high mode is basically a TS. Bit harsh at higher settings. You might NEED to back off the tone control a but more! Otherwise it sounded good!
