  • How is this guy not a household name? Seriously?

  • What model and year is that Taylor.. It sounds incredible…What strings and gauge do you use here? Flat pick and thickness?

  • I’ve always wanted to learn how to play the guitar my whole life but never tried thinking I’d never get it. Once you posted this I’ve watched it several times and now I’ve bought a guitar and I watch so much of Treys playing. Thank for introducing me to him. He is awesome! Plus the fact he is playing a 70k guitar and killing it is wild to me.

  • Please do the Trey Hensley D-18 video. It's one of his originals and his performance is absolutely otherworldly. Makes me question if he's even human

  • Have followed you for years but this ties with Isbell's Elephant for my favorite, the joy and excitement you were sharing were just what I needed right now. Thanks man, keep it up.

  • It is always a pleasure to see an insanely talented player reveal just how mind-melting amazing they can be. Oh, and Trey was good too!

  • Trey is a beast. One of the best singers and has such a great voice. I’ve been listening to a lot of SRV lately and never connected the dots that Stevie was a picker. There’s a connection between bluegrass, western music, and that Texas blues that SRV played. So many of SRV’s early instrumentals he’s outlining the changes just like Trey is doing here… I just never made the connection until now. I love the magic of music.

  • Thanks for sharing this! He is playing with the Grammy award winning dobro player Rob Ickes here in Oregon soon!

  • Wonder how much that guitar is. I love watching Norm's videos, but rarely can you read out the prices. I don't even play. Just love watching these for the musicality. Will have to look up Trey. He has a voice like Randy Travis did back when he was coming up except maybe a step higher. Very clean, which matches his playing.

  • I'm of the opinion that Trey might be the best flatpicker period. There's a good handful that are all pretty damn close. But Trey just makes my ears smile everytime.

  • Yeah he’s really good. But he would be my favorite picking style acoustic player. Kelly Joe Phelps would by my favorite if not the best finger style player
