I just finished listening to your podcast on David Gilmour’s music post-Dark Side of the Moon, and I have to say, it was absolutely fantastic! Your deep dive into his albums and musical evolution was both insightful and engaging.
Also, thank you for the review of the Luck and Strange album. Please keep producing more episodes like this, exploring the careers of legendary artists. It’s a real treat for music enthusiasts like myself. Looking forward to your next episode!
At 4:44 when you start talking about the barn jam and you both speak about how "they used" Rick Wright piano, and "It's like thy're jamming together". Don't you know, they're actually jamming? It's in the title of the song!! It's a recording available on the gilmour DVDs from 2006 or 2007. They're actually jamming on a barn owned by Gilmour after the On An Island Tour.
Polly Samson, not Polly Simon. Not difficult if you take a few seconds to check it out.
David Gilmore is my hero but not because of luck and strange
I love Dave G but do not think this is his strongest solo album, it's good but not as good as previous records. His solos are still awesome but this album with one or two exception sounds far too bluesy for my liking.
Its not for me. Its just not what I like to hear him do. Its ok though, he owes me nothing and his greatness remains intact. ????
Great video and very informative. Well done. I never been really into his work you are making me interested in his art ???? ???? ❤
From what I've heard so far, I think it's very well done. Where I think it's not quite as good as classic Floyd is in the actual music itself, I think the chord changes are not as musically effective.
utter rubbish album.. Lets face it… gilmour could put out tye white pages and it would be #1
To the people hating on this album, and iGluon is too nice, let me spell it out.
If you see this album is boring, then honestly, you are either musically ignorant or you came into the album wanting to hate it because it isn't classic Pink Floyd. You are easy to spot because you offer literally nothing the conversation except canned emoty comments.
Ironic, right? You call this album empty by using empty useless comments. Move on people, you are not worthy.
I thought his wife was named Polly Samson, not Polly Simon…?
It's bull.
such a great review!!
So many empty words.
This is nowhere near any Floyd album .. But it's cool he is still there
Very informative post. Nice job. I think the album is really good.
iGluon Vinyls, I really like your videos! Let's be friends!
