Few things in life are as satisfying as playing the slide solo from ''my sweet lord', that's for sure! Huge thanks to all patrons for your continued support! Your TABS for this video are available here: https://bit.ly/3i1g2JO
Unique sound and technique.
Slight correction George Harrison played slide during the Beatles, it can definitely be heard in the song For you blue.
In my opinion, George Harrison was good a guitar player as Eric Clapton.
On My Sweet Lord, I just do slide with my fingernails straight down. That way I can do the diminished part with two notes.
Hey dude! Nice. How did you tune the guitar for My Sweet Lord? Thx
george did use a slide with the beatles in for you blue
Absolutely brilliant thanks for the tips
He played slide guitar in Drive my car in 1965.
"Bottle neck" metal slide? That's okay, you are forgiven. The way you hold the pick though? You do know Marilyn was……………..
He played it on an early Beatles record, but he didn't become obsessed with it until later.
We could thank Delaney Bramlett for getting George into playing slide guitar and encouraging him during the Bonnie, Delaney, and Friends days
Free as a bird is the closest thing to a Beatles song with slide guitar. Its fantastic, by the way.
In other words, he's playing as you would an Hawaiian guitar.
But George did double stops on MSL, didn't he?
George Harrison is one of my all time favorite musicians – on many levels, not just in terms of guitar skills.
George once said in GP, that he applied indian sitar style technique
GH learned to play the slide guitar after The Beatles split up? It's surprising rather than funny because I always assumed that that famous melody of Something (from Abbey Road, 1969) was played with the slide guitar technique.
George's slide in "Backoff Boogaloo," is one of my favorites!
George Harrison did play slide guitar in the beatles. Just listen to "for you blue."
Though it's not slide, the opening to Dark Horse hit me extra hard. Using a Capo changes everything.
Na música do John Lennon How do you sleep demonstra ser o mestre do slide guitar ????????????????????????????????????????????????.
Great job, feller…..
He was better than you that's for sure!!!
❤George
He played slide in the Drive my Car solo didn’t he?
"Give me love" solo – wow, its unrepeatable..
Um… that's not a bottleneck.
techinically george added slide to the later beatles song free as a bird and real love
Love yr clips Pilgrim, but i tire of the term ‘underrated’. Harrison was never underrated. Under appreciated perhaps. But no one has ever considered him a slouch on guitar – hes always been revered for his melodies, even early on.
He was the best by far. So subtle and expressive.
The solo in Nowhere man at the end of the solo, I believe he incorporated a bottle neck, and by the way, George and John did that lead together. Check it out, please. So simply, but has stuck in my mind for 50+ years.
RIP George the most underrated guitarist
