This sort of a tone workshop, showing how I modeled/captured a vintage preamp with modern tonex, tone capturing technology. I revisited Jackson JX-3 preamp from the 90’s, absolutely incredible tone. Then bought ToneX one pedal and I was able to transfer the tone from the preamp into this pedal. Mind blowing! Lenghty video, capturing process, A/B comparison… Hope you find some interest in this!

Preserving tones before the machines that made them puff the magic smoke ????. I have had a few units pass away recently. If only i had captured those signal chains before they were lost to time.

ToneX is huge. IKM was a pioneer in guitar amp modeling but never the gold standard, but with ToneX, they invested tremendous amount of money to machine learning research and they’re now better than kemper/quad cortex!
