Hey guys, I’m Rabea. I’m the lead guitarist in Toska, Frog Leap & Dorje where I write music, make songs and have a great time with my mates. I also have my own line of guitars with Chapman Guitars, and I’ve designed numerous products with some really cool companies, such as the Victory Amps VX Kraken. Anyway, i hope you enjoy my videos, thank you for watching!

  • …but because it's the bass guitar track, using 2 tracks for bass is not as tight & direct because it's the same recording on 2 tracks simultaneously…
And that causes phase issues and cancelation…

  • Guy on YouTube “Doesn’t play bass.”

Guy on YouTube plays bass better than me, and I play bass. ????

  • I just picked up a VX Kraken MK II last month, really looking at one of these (in the kraken graphic) to handle my bass as well! You're an inspiration mate!

  • “I don’t play bass”

Proceeds to play bass better than most other bass players.

  • Rabea, can you recommend a bass preamp that will give me a processed line level signal on a balance output as well as A DI signal I can send through a pre? What I’m looking to do is plug my bass into said device and record the balanced line out directly into my converter and send the raw DI through my choice of 500 series preamps.

  • Could someone help, please? How can I recording with pre and post di?
I tried to connected with two xlr cables, like from pre di with xlr to input1 and from post do with xlr to input 2.
So I used two input/output audio channels in Cubase and connected pre and post di parallel cables to the input1 and input2 in the interface. I heard back only the pre di signal in mono.

  • "I don't play bass…",(plays) "I'm not a bass player",(knows tons about bass) "I don't play slap" (slaps).
Me, a self proclaimed bass player: everything he played sounded so much better than everything I've played.

  • I've had the hardest time getting a good tone from my M900 v2 di and cab Sims. I can't eq it or use gain how I like from the amp without getting the clipping you kind of have around 9:20. I'll have to try blending the post and pre di outputs like you have cause it sounds pretty good otherwise. Otherwise I've just been sticking with a beta 52a to the cab cause the tone has been miles better for me.

  • Man's out here said he's not a bassist then he busts out licks better than me (a bassist)

  • I know this is a "Darkglass information" video but if you find yourself using these kid of tones, you should check out the OB1 series of amps and heads from Orange

  • Warwick Corvette is the best rock bass. Ever. I also should add that a fanned fret instrument would render my work near impossible. Even w/ a 25,5 scale the reaches are not doable by 80% of people who try. And I have sausage fingers. Still, I want a Dingwall…
