Victor Wooten is the Bruce Lee of Bass
Frank Wooten is such a great teacher I learned how to play guitar and improvise on other instruments from this one video!
God! i love this man❤ living legend!
Wow! This is the most important video on musical instrument on the internet.
What a great tutor!
12:30 Here’s some lyrics I’ve ritten to this tune that perfectly encapsulate (I think) the entire lesson:
You’re just a half a step away
Turn off your mind
Don’t think
And play.
Just let the music come your way
There is no wrong
It’s good
You won’t fail.
If you ever wished God could give you a music lesson, well here you go.
Everything is absolutely true that he’s saying, 100%. He showed this to me almost 20 years ago. And one thing he also showed me was that music is a language and that’s 100% true too, and that’s not a metaphor. The longer you speak it and the more your around other people who can speak it the better you’ll speak it: he also told me to play with people who are better than me. And he was right in such a simplistic way about everything. For me it all started with him and I’m extremely thankful I had that opportunity to learn those things from him early, he is still truly one of the best, genuine human beings I’ve ever met at a personal level
Mi consciencia me dice que siga la teoría, Pero mi corazón me dice que siga el ritmo.
He opened my mind ????
Just amazing!
I play sax. Victor has taught me so much.
If the chords are moving, it allows me to move less.
Can someone tell me why his playing bass is fret buzzing and his notes kind of muffled right at this very first video intro ??
Like if this bass guitar tech sucks for making this awesome musician shine ??
I feel like Victor is the Bob Ross of bass music
Attended one of his seminars years ago – he was 21 and an amazing young musician – such talent and a nice guy! He said his mother had 5 sons – she knew how to raise talented boys!
Victor Wooten, you are the greatest. Thank you for sharing. You have changed my perspective of music forever. ❤️
Such a great teacher. I could listen to him all day.
5:40 bro just started playing sittin on the dock of a bay without even thinking about it
This guys the Bob Ross of music i swear
Um wow ????????????????????
12:37 musical parallax effect: the background moves and you're on the train looking at it
You can bend it a half step, and make it fit ????
This guy is the bob ross of bass
