Fantastic lesson Scott! Thank you.
Nice , thank you for the lesson
Great lesson Scott. As a member of a band playing (mainly) original music, I've had to create bass lines for maybe 40 different songs, which in the early days was mainly trial and error. For anyone starting out with a band, how to set about providing bass lines is obviously essential and to my mind is not covered nearly enough by any of the bass tuition courses available. Your lesson was straightforward and succint and provided the basic building blocks (as you intended). For me it provided confirmation that my current approach is correct. My personal formula has evolved as root notes, plus whatever other notes or runs I instinctively feel will work, as luckily I have a good ear for a "tune". Thanks again.
Now I know !
