Thank you man. I got bkues junior 4. You helped me a Lot
Another silly snowflake with nothing to contribute.
Is that an Am Pro II mystic green?
I have this amp, I fucking love this amp, but yeah it can be difficult to dial in the tone and sometimes it just doesn’t want to cooperate. Definitely more intuitive once it gets louder. I keep the fat always on and bass up and dial back the brightness. Gain sounds better when the amp is opened up. If you have to play quiet keep it clean. The reverb on this amp doesn’t do much, I keep it cranked but it does muddy things up a bit
Excellent lesson! Well done. Agree on the reverb, easy to get too much. You can Mike that little Jr if you hit the big time
What sort of settings do you use for your tele?
Master all the way up, guitar volume around 6-7, then dial the amp volume to the room you’re playing in. Any OD or boosts either need a bass knob that you can turn down or just stick with mid-focused ODs like tube screamers or Klon type pedals. If you boost bass frequencies with an OD, you get mud.
Good stuff! Thank you!
I like to turn it up until I feel my head start to hurt, then turn it down a little bit. Works every time.
For playing at home I love my Blues Junior IV with Canabis Rex speakers very much. Best sound to me is master between 8 and 12 and volume between 4 and 8. I use a power attenuator to get a killer sound without destroying my ears.
Great video. I am from Brazil, living in the USA for a year. I took the opportunity to buy the same set as yours: à professional Stratocaster II and a blues junior LTD (2021). Do you think I can get really clean sounds from this amp? And, do you think I can get good distortion with pedal at really low volumes (I have to play lower than a TV in my neighborhood ????). Thanks for your video.
I really like turning the master all the way up and having the volume low, and using the volume knob on the guitar to get clean at low volume, and saturated at full
Oh- ya I bought a blues jr and I absolutely adore it. My first one was destroyed in the Camp Fire in 2018. Bought another as soon as I could
Great video for tube amp beginners! And if you're into heavier sounds the Mesa Boogie Mk 5:25 mini head will dial in metal at bedroom levels
I have watched several videos about the blues jr but I learned so much more from your video. Great work thanks, awesome.
what were you recording the amp with ?
I set my volume at 4 my master volume at 9 and control the volume/gain with my guitar. I can go from clean to overdriven with out touching the amp. Reverb is best around 2 and a half.
Uhmmmm…….. What color is that American Professional Strat? It looks a lot like my Agave Blue MIM.
Great vid, many thanks, not had mine long and being a beginner this'll help me for sure ????????
I saw your Marshall origin 50c video. I bought the 20c as the 50c was just a bit too big and heavy for me. Not happy with my sound with the 20c and wondering if I should have gone for the blues junior lol but I’m going to go try your tips!
Two words: noise gate
Great video! Thanks.
Maybe invest in a tuner, jsus. ????
I got my blues jr iv about 3months ago. Killer video! The blues jr is technically my first tube amp I’ve purchased. I just got my ‘72 Stratocaster it’s first refret, and man it’s sounding great through the Jr IV.
Down the line I desire a stereo set up with a tweed IV ????.
You are awesome J Bishop.
Thanks ???? great video really helped ????
I had my phone sitting towards the edge of my desk while I watched this, and every time your phone moved I thought it was my phone moving and that it was going to fall off my desk. Thanks for the anxiety! Great video, though. I have one of those Monoprice 15W amps, and I haven't really dialed it in quite how I like it yet.
Why ya making me buy another amp? Lol
Master Yoda apreciating the song. Very nice video and song man.
