…and Justice For All behs tones next please!!!!
30 seconds to mars???
I feel as though his sound comes more from fat humbuckers with standardish gauge strings for the tuning, that's what I run in my bass and it sounds almost identical running it through the ampeg svt3 pro plugin from brainworx into an 810
You always do good bro
Swans bass tone!!
You got a buck 35 or better hanging in your top end???
These metal bass tones sound comical and ridiculous, just like the music. ????
“I scream until my lungs collapsed” type bass
Active pickups are a massive part of his and the Mudvayne bass tone and stop scooping the energy out of it cause that’s what scooping the mids does . U not hear the attack it has to cut through the wall of sound ? The mids dialed in is crucial to giving that snappy sound when it locks in on the kick drum . Metal guys kicks are mostly attack very little decay so the double foot has impact and clarity anyways rambling on .
He used pretty light guage strings for Drop-B, .110 isn't really ideal for that low.
Try and duplicate Mike Watt’s bass tone.
That is a horrible bass tone. Listen im a metal dude through and through but i have never understood these tones some guys use or why for 90% of death metal bands you cant even hear it. Why even have a bass player. Especially why bother even having them record bass of your not going to use it. There are exceptions. Morbid angel with david vincent, cannibal corpse, origin, cryptopsy to name a few
Can you do royal blood!!??
Am I the only bassist that boosts the mids? I feel like I'm doing something wrong.
Do Michael McKeegan
Pol greh
Bhes
RIP NO.2 PIG PAUL GRAY
I’d love to see a kyuss bass tone, especially on songs like gardenia or the law
How about Clay Gober of polyphia's bass tone
But then you have to play slipknot…????
Paul was an amazing player. R.I
P.
my animals reacting to this freq.. interesting
That string looks like spagheti man
Nah bro your off
duality is such a good song, absolutely love this tuning!!
Rip Paul grey
Sounds terrible
Play left behind … then look around . You are left behind 9/11/2024
You're usually pretty spot on. This one isn't close. You'll need an active pickup at least. He used a Warwick (I believe) as well.
not even close.
sorry but it doesn't look anything like that, your ricky tone sucks
Many people are saying he should have used the Ibanez for this. But for the exact song and album run he actually uses the Warwick for the studio recording. Live he played the peavey and the Ibanez but for this song it was the warwick
never realized how sloppy the bass in that song was
What pick Paul Gray used? 1.14mm?
What Slipknot song is that?
