This is so good on so many levels!????
Ever thought of turning off the delay and reverb to make it sound much clearer for the rest of us?
I like practicing Rocks stuff. You Gotta get better ????
Thank you! Was having a silly "what do I work on now" moment and here you are, reminding me that LITERALLY EVERYTHING is something I can get much better at…
Wow Rick Good Job I learned something.
Does anyone know you how you transpose this exercise to other keys?
As a musician (very loose definition) of 27 yrs who took music in high school, university, and self taught. I've learned more about theory, composition, and overall sound structure from @RickBeato on YouTube and the Beato Bundle than any other form of instruction. What once seemed like an unattainable second language finally makes sense.
Reminds me a little bit on Frank Gambale's old video where he teaches you economy picking arpeggio's
Good
Something I have noticed since I have been listening to bands like Periphery, Caligula's Horse, Skyharbor and TesseracT is they use very melodic sounding arpeggios. I'm on a quest to understand the theory behind what they are doing. Perfect example is in the solo of Atropos and that long arpeggio. There seems to be added notes but I want to know why. I realize it's two different arpeggios but it sounds like it goes down half a step on the second arpeggio.
These are really musical exercises with real language in them, for years ive studied arpeggios modes etc but this method is by far the best
ok. we know all these arpeggios now. what do we do with them?
ok this is definetly not for a beginner….
Thank you Rick. Awesome bro ????
Your channel is great brother!! Do you do all this yourself? Or do you have a content team to help?
Thank You Rick! For making me WANT to prsctice my arpeggios !!
❤❤❤❤❤❤
It would be interesting to do those on single strings as hammer-on/pull-offs.
Tough to comprehend.
Use a 2.0-2.5 Dunlop jazz pick for a week and see what happens boys and girls. Drill a few tiny holes for grip.
so is the point here to learn these shapes then move the root and shape in order to arpeggio any chord?
It appears at first glance that this work on the same principle as playing arpeggios through chord changes where you are taking the same or a similar shape for an arpeggio and just changing the appropriate notes to fit the chord being played underneath. This is a very cool and hip sounding way to practice arpeggios. I love the way you walk through each arpeggio, Rick. Thank you very much for this one.
yu hair looks cool
Rick you are just simply the best thank you for everything you share!
Rick
Do you have a book of tabs
I’ve watched lots of your arpeggio videos I prefer tab to learn from
Really like what you do
Thank you ????
Awesome.
This might be a little over my head, is there an easy way to transpose these shapes to other chords?
Sei un Genio Rick, grazie di tutto..
How many hours of practice you think you have sir? You make it look so easy
Rick, I have your Quick Lessons Pro and I'm not seeing this lesson in the bundle? Am I missing something?
Really, really good, Rick x (Roger James – Singer & Songwriter – Watford WD24 5LW England) x
You hardly hit the G note in Gm7b5
This is great stuff! Love it!
What is the utility of these arpeggios? Would it be for a specific type of music?
I’ve been playing for many years. Between you and Uncle Ben, I have really expanded my way of looking at the fret board. I just want to sincerely thank you.
That's probably the biggest problem with YouTube guitar lessons. They don't show resolutions, just the straight scale or arpeggio, boring.
It takes a big heart to help shape little minds. Anonymous
Eduar, se você também está encontrando este conteúdo, parabéns!
Well, I've got the major and minor ones up to speed. Getting there.
rick is the man????
Wow
I like your arpeggios, but I don’t like the sound..
These are movable to all the keys?????
Flipping brilliant Rick!! Thanks for sharing your deep knowledge with us mortals.
This is brilliant, thanks for sharing
