Beautiful instrument ???? ❤
If rock and metal was reigning in the 60's and 70's with flats, ill stick with my flats.
My favorite pbass tone is tone all the way up + fresh bass strings. So satisfying but they lose brightness so quick
Thought this said “how to pimp your partner” ????
But I've had these flats on for 10 years and they're justttt right now. Guess I'll have to get another bass 🙂
Obviously
NEVER!!!!!
I hate P basses with rounds
If you really can't live without the darkness of a dead flatwound, slap a 0.1uf capacitor on your tone pot.
Boom, now you can do both.
Unpopular opinion: I like the sound of slapped P bass way more than slapped Jazz bass. I'm also a big fan of slapped bass on a jazz fusion setup ( I try to get the Hendrik Linder tone on my Yamaha BBG5s )
Never when seen flat wounds???? Wtf!!!!
I love how they think everyone starting out is gonna buy flats. 90% of the strings ive seen in stores are some kind of roundwound sets and with the huge price jump to flatwounds being about 60$ a set. I just dont see many beginner's or average players having Flatwounds unless the song really needs that level of warmth in the tone. Ive just used a bass with really old strings to emulate the tone of flats
I had rounds, now a play semiroundson my PJ. I also have a pair of rounds on my rickenbacker 4001
What the hell are flats? Aren't they all round?
change to rounds. and then here comes the men in black
I didn’t know Louis CK can play like this!
That’s why I have a 6 string with tape wounds that sounds great and chunky, while I have my 4 string p bass Yamaha which has those jazz roundwounds on it, I forget what their called rn but jaco used the same string, they sound a gritty, with a bit of cherry sound to it, the metal string gives it that extra dynamic and clank.
Change strings!?!?!? That's not a very bass player thing to do…
Hear me out. Flats in the middle, round on the lowest and highest string
DUH!!
