Mountains come out of the sky and stand there
Thank you!
Sounds magical. Well done. The opening harmonic bit always reminded me of Roundabout.
Great song masterpiece greg lake during the 7o's
Nice job. I don't play the guitar except that I did pick up an acoustic guitar for one summer to familiarize myself with the fretboard so that as a piano player I would understand what the guitarist is thinking and doing. I always wanted to figure out how Greg Lake bent that G in this song. You explained it and demonstrated it perfectly.
Thanks,
Fezzy
Great teacher of the guitar ????Thank you ????
Andy ian anderson thick as a brick. please
Great instructor! I've played this song for a long time but it just didnt sound right. It's all the subtle things that you've pointed out that has made a huge difference.
Very satisfied i found YOU… whats yer name ? I'm 63, been rockin & rollin for a long time and finally decided to buy a 6 string. Not the biggest fan of ELP but, thought I'd be about the simplest to start with. I applaud you for the attention to detail and slow motion patience!! Baby steps. I would certainly pay you for one on one lessons all day long. Trust this statement >>> you are helping out countless people. THANK YOU VERY MUCH *
Thank you so much. Saw ELP in 72 when tickets were 7.95. Great band
Thank you very much for this lesson…..
Fantastic lesson as always. You are a brilliant tutor! ????
Thanks a lot from a 65 year old who doesn’t know how to give up like his middle school band teacher told him to ( I wanted to be the next Herb Alpert/Al Hirt)….you get me as close to getting it as anyone ever has. Your nice smooth patient way of showing the details makes it more insightful and inspiring.
It’s been 8 years since you posted this. I hope all is welll with you and your family.
I am a beginner and working striving to get this down as to where I play it in a coffee shop . Thank you for ease of playing and learning it. Best so far found lessons ❤
Hey you know I was able to take away what you were putting down and put it in the melting pot and make something that sounds about the same..
which is the guitar tune?
Great lesson.
Lake definitely bends the low E @ the 2nd. He doesn’t slide up to the G, as some do.
The bend on 2nd string 3rd fret walk down connector makes that work.
That fast chromatic run segues directly into the solo. I tend to just cram those notes before moving into the main melody. You mentioned the synth solo a couple of times, but no mention of the guitar solo. It's not the most technically demanding solo, but it's still pretty tastefully done.
This is so clearly and expertly presented. Thank you!
Thank you for this beautiful guitar lesson.
My god this is beautiful…
Great lesson – TY!!!!
