Excellent lesson and your Sire PJ bass sounds great!!!
1- i love your accent and how articulate you sound. 2- Wonderful lesson. 3- You broke things down into sections and simplified the piece for my understanding. Thank you! Youre a fantastic teacher. I hope youre still putting lessons out on YouTube
Love it, thank you!
Tremendous lesson. So clear. Thank you!
Awesome!!! thank you!!
James, where is the LINK in the PDF?
Awesome lesson. I purchased Walking Bass Essentials book and am
Just starting to digest it. Can you tell me what amp and effect you are using for this lesson? I like the tone and would like to duplicate it.
Nice lesson
Thank you for the great lesson!!! You are one of the best bass teachers I have seen here in YouTube.
Fabulous introduction to this song, excellent teaching method Tjank you!
This such a great video, your tips brought me right up to speed with Moondance. I went from basically hanging on the root (poorly I might add), to locking in and helping the band find a nice groove for a nice version of this classic tune. Is there any chance you could do a similar video for the the Allman Bros "In memory of Elizabeth Reed". It's long with a few complex parts, the way you broke down Moondance was perfect…
I have selftaughtbassOCD
That right leg is your built in metronome. I see that stomp.????
The band im in does that
Easy to understand, although the free available sheet music can be read. Useful breakdown of the sections and how to see them, like “…16 bars of Am…”
Thanks James. Richard here. I’ve been using the advanced riffs for months and the band loves it.
One observation though. It seems that you fret the strings right on top of the fret as opposed to the center of two frets. Sometimes I can’t tell which note you’re playing.
Am I playing incorrectly? Is this a technique issue? Should I be closer to the fret and not in the middle between two frets?
Thanks man
Great Video ????
Thanks!
Finally someone who explains whats going on. keep up the good work.
Well done my friend…all the guitar tutorials miss out on the C major chord in the vamp…I'm not the only one out there who hears it!
Really good lesson
Thank you Sir…you saved my behind in this one!
Love the sire
My favorite bass
Great lesson. Made it a whole lot easier to learn????
Hi James, I love this number and this is such a good breakdown of it, but unfortunately I'm not allowed access to the PDF. do you have any suggestions, please?
Finally someone simplified how to play it great lesson thanks
Dude ty,but ur still a wanker,17 min to show us this, geez, and why do u keep mouthing the parts ,annoying man,
Great breakdown of a true bass classic!
I think the song is in Relative key: C major
Dominant key: E minor
Thank you so much!
Finally a bass player that hasn't got 6 inch long fingers !! So easy to understand thankyou from an old guy beginner.
You are awesome boss!! I always dreaded walking up to the task of learning this but you took the sting out of it. Will be watching more of you!
This is a really high quality lesson. Thanks !
Dude you are who I've been looking for in my eniter Bassist life.So simple, and you say the NOTES instead of having all the confusing numbers in substitution for the notes. Thank you!
Help me turn all the good ole songs into punk.
Just started learning this and coincidentally your lesson popped up.
You’ve made me very happy????
Great lesson, explained perfectly. Thanks!
I have to play this tonight and needed a quick study. Perfect man! Thanks for the Spark Notes!!!
Thank you thank you, The VP of my company invited me over to play at his house and this was on his list. I haven’t played in 6 years and I have no Bass or amp lol. He says use mine. Im literally memorizing this in my head, and in 25 years of cover bands ive never covered this song… Much easier than I thought
These lessons are just absolutely amazing!!
Good lesson, is there any way you could add the jam track for us to try playing along with? Please. And could you please do a tutorial on the Matlock theme bass line.
