This man is an awesome guitarist and gifted teacher.
Thanks for this lesson. I'm a 65 year old home player. I like the inclusion of melody with the chords. It doesn't feel awkward to play it. I made my own note sheets to help me remember the bits. I'm working on my hand memory for the 2nd half of the bridge with those C/D, D/E, and A/B chords that are new to me. I don't want to dumb it down with simple bars or partial formations. Perfecting this will make me a better player so I take that as a plus!
Came looking for the correct chords to the bridge to this song (which everyone, including myself, plays wrong most of the time). THANKS! And DANG…how many times a day do you hear people say you resemble a young John Denver? 🙂
I cant find the tab link below or on your site Doug.
That intro was choice! Thanks for this.
another winner, thank you, Beautifully done!
I'm sittin here with a broken head (i was attacked by a lowlife last night). This song soothes me
Brilliant ????
Thank you for such an intuitive presentation. Bob Fleming Island
A milestone song. The forever summer anytime it plays. And, one of the best walkthroughs ever.
Dougedgell, I really like your teaching style. I also appreciate the free pdf music on your website. Thank you and keep on keeping on…..
Great work Doug!!! God bless ????
I was 8 in 72, this song is one of many songs written in the 70s that the first time I heard it I loved it. My mom listened to all the Los Angeles radio stations when I was growing up. Riding in the car with her was a musical treat.
Thank goodness for YouTube. I've learned countless songs getting free lessons from who I choose. Thanks for the lesson, the lead is one of best ever for acoustic guitar.
He looks like John’s son too such beautiful playing I’m gonna get your course love the breakdown ????????????????????????????
Excelente aula! Muito obrigada! ????
Très joli
You are so much like our welding teacher. Very good at this, and know how to throw it out, but not instructively skillful. It is good that we are skillful at pausing and starting the video oftenly.
I think we all just got doug-ified, great video mate
Excellent lesson…Indeed the melody notes make it. Big thanks, Nick ((UK).
I Just suscribed its very good how you teach this song I was 14 years old and listened this song a millions time and never was exhausted Now I am 65 and I always want to learn how to play guitar I love it how you play and explain SUMMER BREEZE
Beautiful <3
Takes me back to when I was in my teens and your rendition is very good I love it.
Killer lesson! Love listening to your playing/singing when watching your lessons too.. I can’t say that about everyone else I learn from!! Keep it up 🙂
Really enjoying your content, I come from a band background and have been playing for 25 years. I retired from “bar” bands years ago but decided to try my hand at some solo coffee house gigs and your arrangements are fantastic for that purpose. I could take the time and toil about figuring out a solo composition but honestly you have already done all the work and it’s great. So thanks for sharing your skills and knowledge. I have to say I don’t really need the pdfs but will happily click on the support link on your web site because good work should be rewarded. Thanks again
Brilliant stuff mate. ???? I can’t stop playing it now that I’ve learnt it!!
This song brings memories of high school and a special someone!!
Good job brother ????❤
