  • Love this tutorial. Any tips on how to help that high e ring free on the barred g chord? When I lift my finger up ever so subtly it messes with the b.

  • I just wanted to say that I have watched about every YT video I could find on this song, and only this man gets the strumming pattern just right….and also only one I've seen that even acknowledges the other strumming pattern. But I watch these vids at 0.5 speed, and mark down every strum, every mute….on all of these vids, and this guy is so meticulously accurate. I love it. Same with Crazy On You, Tin Man, the list goes on and on…oh, ELP, From The Beginning, The Chain….shall i go on?? 🙂 Thank YOUUUUUUU!!!

  • I would say all the songs you teach are almost perfect. I usually skip the adds. However i know this is a small price to endure for a free less like this. So i let the adds play as i know you make more $ for your time the longer they play. I am not a rich man, or i would donate. Watching adds is the best way i can help for now. I appreciate these lessons.

  • I keep coming back to this tutorial, and if you can pull it off solo, I'm really impressed. Don't forget that we have Dan Peek on six-string playing an arpeggio, and the amazing Gerry Beckley on 12-string. The Musikladen channel has an amazing rendition of this tune, and the guitars are a powerful ensemble. Yours sounds fantastic, BTW. We never get to see the head stock in the vid. What brand?

  • I’m so glad you mentioned it’s not good to try playing the riff with melody as I’ve been trying for years ha! “Three guitar players “ ????????????????❤️

  • Your so right about having great musicians helping during the recording of these wonderful songs. Joe Osborne was a member of the Wrecking crew and played on many a hit record back in those days. I remember members of the Wrecking crew talking about how they helped make these records what they became- great music / great recordings.

  • always start by just playing the song. give us a taste. too much talk. get to it. that will pique our interest. THEN show and maybe we'll be open to talking somewhere after. If you take to long to get to the point, we've moved on

  • Good tone from what looks like a 3 series Taylor, and the harmony licks and add-ons were a great help. but I can't see that playing the licks and the chords together sounds dumb. It's not just a record, and to play it on one guitar is not only a good exercise it's the only option for a solo player, so what's so dumb about that?

  • the way the chords are strummed is great. really gives the pulse of the song, enabling the bass to be more lyrical.

  • I truly believe if one has to have the rhythmic strumming tediously taught on any well-known acoustic pop song, it’s just tiltin at windmills. If you don’t naturally feel/hear the strumming, … ????????‍???? just forget it. ????‍♂️

Chords, shapes, etc., totally teachable (by contrast).

  • Outstanding….I already knew how to play the primary stuff, but I could never figure out that "buried" guitar part in the chorus……nice pickup on that !!!!

  • I didn't have YouTube to tutor me how to play songs when I was a kid. But, I would LOVE TO HAVE!!! Some of the young players today that listen to you are really going to progress rapidly. I hope you get to listen to them when they get good. ????
