How To Sound Like Radiohead – Creep w/Pedals
NOTE – I also added a subtle tremolo to the verse and intro parts in post production as I realised it got me much closer.
Here’s a look at getting the iconic tones on one of my ALL TIME favourite songs, trying to nail that chorus tone and insane distorted Johnny Greenwood fury in the Chorus’ hope you enjoy!

Buddy.. You lost me when you didnt know that the original is actually a tremelo and not a chorus, with all respect it may be yr young age as very rarely do you hear a tremelo effect these days ( its a 60's thing ) but its a tremelo – not a chorus my friend.. keep up the fab work and keep on rockin

The mutes before the chorus's must be like KFC's secret herbs n spices, no one will ever be able to find out how to do them perfect, perhaps the studio console-board was the 11th secret ingredient? Only Colonel Sanders knows lol
Well, at first I watched ubernerd skinny McSkinnyface bash out a cover of Creep. Then I noticed he was doing it on single coils. Respect. I want the Gorila pedal, but I have a Dallas Scala that destroys it tonewise, but my wife won't let me drive it. Lovely playing chap. Indeed chapeau.

I'm pretty sure the arpeggiated part is played by Ed O'Brien. Jonny plays only the distorted parts.

Hi mate, that's some really expensive kit… you play really well but these guys made these sounds using some basic bits. Not a dig but if you did it with some cheaper pedals and a classic vibe telecaster maybe.
Great demo though.
Alternative version would be cool to have a comparison.
Put me in my box and tell me to do my own demos if you want.
