  • Love how reviewers always say "here's my amp, totally clean"….then they barely touch the strings to evidence this, instead of striking them as they do once they kick in the OD pedals. Hit them strings boys when showing us your "clean" tone!

  • Ge Tumnus into Stomp Nobels ODR-01 into Tonex Perfect Marshall into Delays and Modulation, then Hot Springs Reverb…YAAAY!

  • My favorite combo so far is a ts808 into a blues driver but been thinking about replacing the blues driver with a lightspeed. I just love the bd2 so much that it’s hard for me to get rid of. I just want to know if I like the lightspeed more or not… only one way to find out

  • In regards to the first example with the two light gain pedals, which came first after the guitar? The cleaner or the crunchier of the two? I’m struggling trying to set something like this up ahead of my super reverb. I’ve got a Sparkle drive and a Nobels ODR1.. both fairly light gain units, but I’m only getting into trouble at rehearsal trying to set everything up to work together. Clean, crunchy, and solo boost. Thanks Rhett

  • I'll never forgive you for saying "The last thing I'd avoid is stacking 2 maybe 3 overdrives at once" now my wife thinks I only need to OWN 2-3 drive pedals ????

  • I actually love a tone I’ve been using stacking a really inexpensive Caline Enchanted Tone (kind of a Dumble in a box) into a Stewmac Ghost drive I built (their Klon clone) into my Marshall Origin 20. Really nice fat growl without being crazy muddy or flubby.

  • I've been doing this for a while also. I currently have 5 on my board all set very differently. ODR-1 → steel singer → peacock → tribute → super badass. Might seem extreme but you can go from country funk to make your eyes bleed ☺️

  • Great video! I’m still finding ways to blend my Nobels OD1, Soul Food and LPB1. I’ve been trying to get make them work with my Mascis big muff but after seeing this video I may take another approach. Thanks!

  • Pro-tip fun fact:
EQ(also acts as boost) w/ any overdrive will completely and eloquently dial in any imaginable overdriven tone your heart and ears desire!

  • I’ll say as far as my own experience goes, a Klon-style pedal can fit just about anywhere in a stack and make it sound good. Had a Rockett Archer on my board for a long time and just took it off but it’s… probably going back on. It sounds good with every amp and is so responsive to playing dynamics

  • I really like stacking my tubescreamer in front of my green Russian muff. Really adds some mids to the mix. Also the tube screamer with my morning glory sounds pretty great too 🙂
