  • What song have you been avoiding, even though you can sing every note in your head? Time to learn it…

  • I had the lyrics in my head "…We all came out to Montreux, on the Lake Geneva shoreline…" and I thought there's no way I can learn that song but I gave it a try and after 31 years, I can finally play it. dun dun dun, dun dun dat dun…

  • Love the new video, btw, what happened to the guitar giveaway?

That’s it! To make up for it I’ll take a new Taylor acoustic ???? thanks!

  • Hey MusicIsWin22 commented a comment of mine in one of your videos, trying to make me believe I won a giveaway, is in the video of your guitars

  • It never ceases to amaze me what these virtuosos can come up with for "new" sounds….

  • Men, I love this Play. I feel when I hear this, I think or remember new and old Emotions back and forward. It's really nice. It would be cool if this would have a Cover release for online. I hope for it, bc you deserve it.

  • Looks like Tyler needs some of that steel wool trick on his face! Got a little dirt stash going on haha, I thought we were both part of the "clean shave crew" mostly cause I'm 33 and still can't grow hardly any facial hair haha

  • I wasn’t only able to do this one until I got the Eventide H90 and even then do it with hybrid picking. Vai was such an innovator back then on P & W.

  • This was so freakin cool. Only took someone 12,645 days to crack the code and release the video 😀 Legitimately mind-blown.

  • Whats up with the thumbnail? Idk what would make you rip the strings off of one of your favrite guitars, but we seriously hope you're OK. Please feel better Ty.

  • I'm a beginner and I bought my first guitar a few days ago and while I was doing research on what to buy and watching videos I saw a lot of negative comments about stickers on guitars and I'm just wondering why?

  • I took a similar dotted eighth journey with Rob Scallon's Rain on New Year's and decided to learn and record it.

  • Steve Vai has a propensity to create unique sounds, sometimes with the use of tools. Without your explanation of how, I would not have ever figured this out on my own, for one, I do not own or feel the need for a pitch shifter. But, thank you for the deep dive toward matching his tones, and demonstrating it. Anything to avoid shoveling snow is a WIN! Pun intended. LOL. Thanks Rett!

  • I really love Steve Vai and I appreciate his musical talent and technique, as well as yours. But this piece sounds like Super Mario World on my gameboy, coin Sounds included????

  • Telegraph Road solo by Dire Straitst/Mark Knopfler; not difficult, but one of the most beautiful guitar pieces ever made/heard…
The best solo I know is the Ancestral solo by Guthrie; ever heard this? Wow…. it has it all…

  • For me that song is tender surrender. I know it note by note and can tell when Steve misses a note. But I can’t play it

  • Wow- so cool ????????. I wondered how Vai did that recording – mystery revealed here ????????

  • In tremendous challenge you got yourself eh!. A brain-melting task just to get the effects correctly put together for the proper sound.

  • Such a fun song to learn and play! For anyone who has an FX unit, there's a factory preset named "Ballet Slippers" which is exactly what you're looking for here.

  • You should do a video on the guitar for the band Genesis, Steve Hackett is a musical genius and so overlooked. Maybe like a video on the most overlooked guitar solos.
