  • Better finger exercises than going back to regular strings it’s be like butter

  • What if you used a metal finger piece to be able to change the tome without having to press down to hard?

  • Pressing those strings must have brought back the pain from when you were first learning ????

  • I have an Idea for you: Connect a Guitarstring to a SpeakerCone. Just one End of the String you connect to the Speaker Cone, or better said to the Bolt in The Speaker wich mooves up and down.
Well and then feed the Soundoutput of your Guitar (guitarstring) to this Speaker-bolt.

Of corse this would create feedback. So thats why you put a paramatric Equalizer in between this Chain.. So you filter out specific Frequencies of the Spectrum, like say the Groundfrequency of the Guitartone, wich is the strongest.. So the Feedback is less likely to arise.. What you also can do is have a Phaseswitch , so you could theoretically try to cancel out certain Frequencies . (i hope you understand this from Recording at home what im saying).

Also, feedback only becomes strongly audible at a certain treshold.. Your vibrating String looses power from friction, thats why it runns only a few Seconds.. So, if your level of the Speaker (the volume so to speak) is low enough, it prevents strong feedback.. its would be a very controlled feedback-amount.

I could imagine that this could result in quiet interesting toneshaping !! Its actually not ment as funny joke, but as a way to shape the tone of a guitar. You can probably only fit one Speaker-bolt onto a guitar in a first trial–

  • I kind of like it as far as a different type of sound. It reminds me of Indian or some other type of ethnic style music.

  • Maybe plucking the strings will do. Give me the guitar then i will give you an answer for that. ????????

  • Would have been nice to have a better demo of what thenstrings actually souns like. Stylishly this is the same as someone demoing an electric guitar and only showing what it sounds like covered in effects. Just ring some chords out so we can actually hear the tonal quality of the strings.

  • if a guy is in the middle of the ocean with a boat only joined by flex tape, he must really trust that tape ????

  • After watching all interesting experiment with guitar and piano (including the plasma one), I have an interesting idea…

Either Guitar or Piano (or both maybe?) can try to replace it with silk strings (silk covered with silk) from a Chinese Instrument called "Guqin". Guqin basically an instrument with a very old history , that ancient Chinese use silk strings to play the instrument. So it will be interesting to try.

But due to the nature of natural silk, it WILL BREAK if pulled too hard in one time, so better get more as spare in case it break during your project. Also, it will need some time to rest if first time being use, as it can be stretch slowly if given some time. First day and second day sound will be different (due to strings being stretch and then loosen down itself as time pass by), but it will somehow come to stable about 1 month time.

  • What if you put harp strings on the guitar (could be natural gut or steel wire).

  • with piano strings on a guitar you could have a proper piccolo guitar thats tuned up 12 frets higher, unlike the piccolo guitars that are only tuned to…ADGCEA? Is that correct?
