????Description: Today we are reviewing Zach’s new Heritage Custom Core H-530 Hollowbody Electric Guitar in an awesome Dark Cherry Sunburst finish. This is Heritage’s take on the Long-neck Gibson ES-330. Gibson doesn’t currently produce any ES-330s, let alone a long neck version, so Heritage has carved a very nice niche for themselves on this one.

I enjoyed finally checking out a Heritage – if you’re interested in buying a heritage, why don’t you also buy one through my NGD service so we can all enjoy seeing it on the show first? More info here: https://troglysguitarshow.com/ngd/

  • Heritage and G+L — amazing small Companies who made them like they used to…Custom Shop quality and regular shop prices.

  • Same dude that ignores Gibson’s fretboard tooling marks, finish on the binding criticizes Heritage Guitars.trogly’s lost in the Gibson wilderness.

  • Austin, you want to mute the low E-string with your left thumb when playing D chords!
    ????????
And that is a really nice guitar indeed! ???? I remember when Heritage first started appearing in the 80's – and also that the one thing I didn't like about their Les Paul models was the missing poker chip on the switch ????

  • Pretty sure Trogly is wrong about the Bigsby. I had a B7 (not B3)added to my 330 recently with no issues. I had casino before with the same. They all have that bracing I believe.

  • Id love to have 1 for the fact it's made in Kalamazoo my dad owned a Kalamazoo acoustic. Little tom shulz coming out? Hehe

  • In the early 90’s I had a Heritage LP gold top that was a great guitar, I might have bought it used but it was sin new condition. I traded it for other gear because it was way too clean sounding for the type of hard rock music I played at that time. Not a bad thing just not what I wanted in a guitar at that time.

  • Custom Core references the lineup. It’s a core series of guitars from their custom shop. H535, 150, 530, etc.

If you want a tour of the plant, come join us Austin. Aug 2nd is a tour of the plant.

  • “Core” has nothing to do with what’s inside the guitar. It’s one of their “Custom Core Collection”.

  • Nice looking model…do They do a model like a Gibson 175 or a larger bout hollow body? Like a super 400 or other Jazz box type models?

  • so excited to finally see a heritage on this channel! proud owner of an 87 (first year) h535 and a 94 h550.
Wasn't sure if you meant it as a joke, but "Custom Core" obviously has nothing to do with the center block or "core" of the guitar. They have other model guitars in their Custom Core lineup as well.

  • Im concerned. Because it isnt Gibson, we must automatically look down our nose at it? The very same factory and employees that built Gibson guitars befor Gibson left.
Wanna stare down your nose at 5 and Dime store guitars, go ahead. But really? Made with many of the same tools with the same ethics and knowhow that built Gibson guitars….essentially these are Gibson at heart. The same QC issues you spot on brand new Gibsons….the construction is solid…and the price. Lets be serious. I cant afford Heritage either. Seems they go penny for penny with Gibson.
    "Is it a Gibson….no….but if you….."
Seriously? Of course it isnt a Gibson. But thats like saying Pepsi isnt Coke.
Sheesh. I get your gig. You mainly review Gibson. But this was beyond the pale.

  • Heritage in my opinion deserves Gibson prices. Hand made on the original Gibson machines by Old Gibson employees, Now we are into that 2nd generation of Heritage employees. The Gibson employees that bought the old factory have done tremendously. Now they have been going for over 40 years on top of how long Gibson used the plant. If you want Gibson quality and manufacturing from Kalamazoo they make it.

  • They don’t hold the value that a Gibson does though. But still demand a high price so I’ve always said no to any of these guitars. I’d rather go PRS.

  • Hilarious. People wont spend 4k on a Gibson 335 but then jizz themselves over a 4.5k Gibson 335 rip off. Make it make sense.

  • I had a factory three-pickup walnut brown Heritage H-157. I've never seen another 3 pickup H-150. Sweetest sounding guitar ever. Paid $1500 for it in 2006. Should never have sold it. Sigh…

  • My local guitar shop carries heritage. They have about 5-6 les Paul style on the wall. They’re very nice guitars. They have a feel of quality when you pick them up. I was talking with the guy who owns the shop about them and he was saying that heritage produces about 60 guitars a day. Obviously not as big of a company as Gibson. But they kinda hang their hat on the fact that they only put out 60 or so guitars a day. Citing their attention to quality. Having played one myself. They’re definitely nice and for the price in comparison to a Gibson in the same price range. They blow Gibson out of the water.

  • The sides on the Heritage 530’s and 535’s are solid maple. And up until I believe 2021 the used real mother of Pearl in their fret inlays.

  • Heritage guitars are pretty sweet! I’ve got an H525 that I love but it kinda suffers from having lots of tooling marks all over the fretboard.

  • So happy you reviewed a Heritage guitar. I've been waiting for this. You're very experienced with Gibson guitars, so it's great hearing your thoughts on Heritage. It's nice seeing what happened in Kalamazoo after Gibson left. Hoping for more content on Heritage from you. Would be cool if you actually visited and did a tour of Heritage to see where a lot of Gibson history was made. Maybe there might be a Heritage wing in your future museum?!? Thank you Trogly!!!

  • I’m sorry but any ES guitar immediately puts me into a coma. ????
This guitar, played unplugged, sounded just plain awful. Plugged in? Not much better. I guess the ES, whether made by Gibson or Heritage is just not my style, at all. Next.

  • Never thought you would do a Gibson knock off!! That’s an expensive Chibson. What’s next Harley Benton’s ? Why not get a Burny

  • Trogly, just FYI, there is something weird on the font used to describe guitars in your shop. It's HUGE!
