Steps for sculpting your tone.
1. Grab your favorite guitar
2. Put it on the bridge pickup with volume and tone wide open
3. Turn the EQ on your amp all the way down
4. Play the open G power chord to hear it
5. Start with treble. Dial it in until it sounds clear but not too bright or harsh.
6. Add in mids to taste.
7. Add in bass to taste.
8. Add in presence to taste.
9. Flip to your neck pickup and play around a bit. Same with middle or whatever other pickups you have on your guitar.
10. Tweak minor adjustments.
11. HAVE A BLAST! YOUR AMP NOW SOUNDS BETTER THAN IT DID BEFORE.

Awesome tutorial! Thank you very much Daniel…????????????
Great video and advice!!!
Thanks for this lesson, it is just what I am looking for! I am not a native speaker of English, so I have a question – what does 'wide open' mean? Is it allt he way up? Thank you again!
Same for neck? Then what about both pickups… how to pull some sweet tones outta that combo? Same process I guess.I’m gonna go try this right now. Thanks Daniel.
Or better yet buy a blackstar studio 10 for aout the same price and not have to fiddle with knobs and not also have a light tube amp that is still loud enough
What's the point of a 2 channel amp if you don't use the 2nd channel?
Another great tip! Thanks, Daniel!
That’s a great fender amp
which one would you pick? this one or fender deluxe reverb 65 ?
THANK YOU!!! Thank you for this video. I think you just freed up hours of time for me. I've needed this video for 40 years.

The overdrive and more drive sound great on the Hot Rod Deluxe if you change the V2 tube to a 12DW7
Wow that sounds beautiful!
I have a hrd2 and changed the speaker because i dont like the spikyness in its sound.but this is sweet sounding one
Really helpful lesson. Thanks!
I love my hotrod deluxe including the distortion channel
I have been looking at tone for 50 years, still like to exsperament with the quest for tone.
Awesome video! Super helpful
Thanks for the great video. Do you take the same approach when playing two amps in stereo? I play an AC10 and Fender Superchamp in stereo. I like how they complement one another, but I wonder if I can have even better tone from the pair with a more systematic approach like what you’ve just demonstrated.
This is excellent. And I don’t see any reason it wouldn’t work just as well on a solid state amp.
Was debating selling my fender deluxe. This made me have a change of heart ????
