I tested the cheapest Ibanez George Benson guitar, the Ibanez GB10EM. Let’s see what it ahs to offer. I looked at the special characteristics of this guitar. First off, it’s a very small guitar. We’ll look into whether the size affects it’s performance. I’ll go through the haptic feeling of the body and also the neck. Then we’ll check the electronics. Often the pickups and potis are not the best in cheap guitars. We’ll see if that holds true. And of course you’ll get to hear some Ibanez GB10EM sounds.

I hope you like my Ibanez George Benson signature GB10EM gutiar review and give it a thumbs up. Check out my jazz gear reviews playlist up here on my YouTube channel.

  • Truth is Sandra plays so good that any piece of wood with wires sounds great… I don't mean to say the guitar is not good, just praising Sandra' skills

  • Thanks for the review Sandra; I've been eyeing the GB10 ( made in Japan) so I'll be very interested in your thoughts on that one. Happy Birthday ????

  • Happy birthday ????. I'm getting into playing guitar as one of my acoustic's is the Yamaha FG830. I want to get an electric and I was going to buy a Squire. But this Ibanez has the jazzy sound I really appreciate which I wouldn't get on a Squire, or anything else Fender sells.

  • Sorry to have missed it, but I hope you've had a fantastic hatch day, Sandra! Thank you so very much for your channel — even on your birthday YOU are the one giving US another great video…
    Thank you once more!

  • Alles gute zum Geburtstag liebe Sandra ????
Mich würden auch Gitarren mit nur einem Tonabnehmer interessieren. Auffällig das Guild in deinen Videos nicht statt findet…

  • I have this guitar, it's perfect for me as a beginner and as my first electric guitar. The lightness and small body suits my smaller frame. I had it set up by a luthier, he had to reset the frets as they were too high.

  • I bought one cos while talking to the manager of Sam A he said he’d give me 15% disc on anything I buy that day so I pointed to the used GB10em he said sure n I could not resist a $230 deal after the disc plus tax. It sounds great I was told it was owned by a Strip musician who upgraded to an another guitar. Happy me????????????

  • I just bought a brand new GB10 (made in Japan) and a brand new AG75 this summer. Last winter I bought a used LGB30 so I now have 3 Ibanez Jazz guitars but in every price point and I use all of them for work. I love everything about them.

  • Unfortunately, here in Bangkok, Thailand…it's a whopping $875…ouch. But great review anyway…if one turns up used I'll be sure to grab it

  • Ohhhh Happy Birthday dear friend!!! ???? ????????

30 years in the business, ha ha, no you definitely don't look that old. ????

Still not as old as me of course. This year is my 50th anniversary of having taken my first guitar lessons. ???? ????

If I had known it was your birthday I would have sent you a gift from here in Australia. ????

Hope you had a wonderful day and that your husband spoiled you. ???? ????

  • The factory setup is what always makes these things hard to play in shops. I'd love to try one with 12s or 13s on it, regular relief and a normal action.

  • I have one. It’s amazing for the price point and the smaller body is nice for portability. Agree about its acoustic sound.

  • Happy Birthday. Thanks for a great demo. Sounds like a great guitar all round. Very clear tone. I wish they would make some without the bridge pickups as I only use them as fridge magnets.

Thank you for your wonderful channel.
    I bought a GB10EM 2 weeks ago, it’s a lovely guitar!

  • Very good review! I especially enjoyed your playing in a non-instructional context. I agree 100% with your findings and opinions of this guitar. I have owned several Ibanez guitars and find them to have excellent craftsmanship, amazing necks and fretwork. Excellent quality for the low prices. I have owned 4 Ibanez AF75's. My students would play them and want to buy them from me so, I'd sell and get another…lol! I still have an AF75 and find it to be a great guitar for only $450! Happy Birthday my friend!

  • Great demo. We're you using thomastik round wounds? Every GB 10 I've tried has been set up with flats (which I hate????) so it's been hard to connect with it

  • I've the GB-10 Signature series, it's uncredible an very nice guitar!!! Thank you Sandra for very good and nice video!!!
