No, they are not.
Your comments are paused on the last video, its funny we are in the same business actually.
Wth does that even mean? ????
Congrats again on the win. They are great guitars.
Sweet!!!
I have 7 PRS guitars and every one is art and an instrument. Do I need 7? No, but my son. will get them as he plays guitar and then his children hopefully. He and his kids will be able to say they have a PRS during the time Paul led the company.
Okay, what I want to know is what's the deal with the 3 digit readout that's constantly cycling theough numbers for no apparent reason?
Awesome video and review! Congrats on winning that! Looks like a really beautiful instrument. They always get rave reviews, especially that model since it was released. I have tried a few different models over the years, and have had a few come in for repairs here and there, but never found one that I've liked, or liked so much that I had to run out and get one. Honestly I think the 25" scale just feels a bit weird to me. But to those who like them , enjoy them. I've never seen one that Didn't look amazing, and they are all quality made. Enjoy it Jayce!
doesn't the split work on all 3 positions?
I’ve had SO many guitars (not gonna say how many in case my wife accidentally reads this????) and my favorite guitar I’ve ever owned is an S2 Vela. I have owned more expensive guitars, but never one I have enjoyed as much. Congrats on your first PRS!
PRS is like Apple, in the sense that you just never hear of somebody modding one. You buy it, in the configuration that the company sold it to you, and you stick with the choices they made. If you really wanted a platform for customization, you’d go somewhere else.
I don't tink so. I have zero use for an Iphone but I love my PRS.
This video makes me a little angry for several reasons. Unsub
I've never fallen in love with their guitars, but I own the PRS SE Kestrel Bass. A neck through jazz bass with hipshot hardware is hard to beat. It feels very comfortable and the only thing I'd ever change is adding the hipshot detuning key and maybe change the pickups. Also I like the bird inlays they do look catch the eye.
Prs actually have their own building at Cortech industries.
Sounds like they were trying too hard to convince people to buy the product and that kind of misinformation is not good for beginners, especially. Kinda a turn off when shopping for guitars. That's a nice looking guitar that you're reviewing. Seems well built. But I am not fond of the sound of this guitar.
Nice guitar! The SE's are great for the money. I've been playing almost 50 years, mostly Gibson & Gretsch, and picked up my first PRS just over a year ago. SE CE 24, $559 new on sale, and I have to admit it is a fantastic guitar. Came perfectly set up with really smooth frets. I'm getting old, so I got tired of hauling out my 12lb 1976 Les Paul Deluxe for gigs. It holds up against my Japanese and Korean made guitars, and better than my other Indonesian and Chinese made instruments.
The grey plastic on the tuning pegs make the Silver Sky look cheap af. It's ridiculous. Also Paul's bs about tonewood. I don't see myself buying an overpriced product from any company that looks down on customers and thinks they are idiots.
Paul jay schmidt guitars are meticulously crafted like wow. I’m not crazy about the designs. The flagship design I’m just not crazy about. I considered their Strat model but even that was tweaked in a way that wouldn’t turn my head like the typical Strat pretty girl would. Almost as if the owner Mr Schmidt did not wanna concede n front a total Strat in their product lineup. Still I’m cool with the design. I’m not a crazy bout of the headstock. I really wanna like that handle design cuz like I said their premium quality torrified wood is truly gated community. I am a believer in tonewood. BUT most expensive quality wood isn’t always the best. Basswood n Alder r much pretty good.
Please tell me what the large meter is in the background, the one that keeps changing. thanks!
Those half moon inlays help sustain as well as the tone, being smaller than normal it allows the neck to vibrate also leaving natural grain uncovered. ???? Congrats on the win, could not have went to a better person! The old cliché of dont talk politics or religion may need tone wood added to it. I enjoy watching Paul's interviews.
Yer one lucky SOB to have won that PRS brother lol ????! There was a lot of us trying to win it, but ya definitely deserved to win. I was hoping that ya were gonna do a deep dive review of it. Yeah mate that's a sweet gold top PRS ????!! I would be proud to have it in me collection. I would totally RockN Roll with that Axe all day lol ????!! The guitar sounds good and looks good. I wouldn't change a thing on the guitar not even the pickups. I thought that they sounded great!!, but if I were to then I would probably put in a set of Seymour Duncan's in it. The 59' and SH-11 combination of pickups to be exact brother lol ????!! Those stock pickups handled the high gain and overdrive very well, so they're wax potted and not microphonic. Thanks for sharing yer honest thoughts and opinions about yer new PRS guitar and thanks for sharing the specs, so until next time brother Jayce… Stay safe, Stay metal, and don't forget to Riff.?! Getcha Pull <3 ????
????????????????????????
Great review Jayce! Keep that PRS! In this case, be a bit selfish. I have one and they’re ultra reliable. You’ll never regret it.
I’d be very interested to get your take on a PRS SE CE, the most affordable models.
Thank you for the review.
Had the Silversky SE, Silversky Core, DGT SE – Did not like them sorry – love my Musicman Cutlass, Godin A6Ultra, Fender strat Ultra and my Fender Roadworn Vintera – you will sell it
Have a custom 24 objectively a very good guitar no doubting that . Subjectivity not one of my favourites and rarely play it . Can’t really put my finger on why ,think it may be the body is a little smaller than what I’m used to . Nonetheless if you like the shape and aesthetic they do make a great guitar.
What does that mean, being like an iPhone? I hate iPhone! !
Overpriced and have ugly/sticky necks. With they could lower the prices a bit and dam use frickin satin finish ????
iPhone of guitars? You mean they are crap? I agree.
No, the I-phone is the future of P.R.S. guitars! ????
Very Cool, Thankyou. Awesome Video and Awesome Guitar. This is the only PRS that REALLY screamed Buy me. So Good. And many say this model is 'the best' PRS (maybe the 'pro' model but same look as this guitar, lol, but many do say this more affordable version is the best PRS to buy.) Enjoy. All the Best.
I got this exact model and Silver Sky SE. More than happy. Not even interested in old brands like Fender or Gibson, not because I do not love their history, I just hate their quality control and if you have to buy online, with Fender and Gibson, it is a gamble. Their lower brands Squier and Epiphone are not on the same level as PRS SE, so no point to even compare.
