  • As long as PRS isn't able to deliver axes with ss frets they cannot be perfect for me.

  • I appreciate that you didn't edit out adjusting the tuning. I dont know if it was on purpose but either way makes for a more honest video ????

  • Great playing and demo! I bought one the minute they released and I have zero regrets. The pickups, switching, and maple neck give it such a great snap for those single coil strat-ish and P-90 tones. No, it doesn't spot on nail a strat quack or tele twang, but it's definitely in the ball park.

At this point imho PRS have their own sound so I try to judge them on their own merit. I play a broad range of styles and this is a swiss army knife guitar. Plus the ebony board plays great and I honestly have never seen an SE look this good. For comparison I have a core CE 24 and an S2 limited run Custom 24 in a similar charcoal cherry with an ebony board and honestly I've been hooked on this SE 24-08 lately.

The Indonesian factory has leveled up big time and that veneer is gorgeous! It actually beats both my Japanese and Korean built ESP and Ltd guitars. The SE line just keeps improving!

  • Got mine in Lake Blue last week and Named her after my wife! Thats her in my profile pic…The old joke about better gear making you play better is REAL! I seem to play better because the instrument is very forgiving…it sounds so good mistakes dont seem to stand out as much and are easy to incorporate into my Jam..I have a BAD case of G.A.S. so this wont be my last guitar, but the bar for the next one is so high it will be a while before I indulge myself again! Best guitar I own by a LOT!!

  • Bought one used for $600 in '22 and replaced the tuners with locking ones, replace the nut, upgraded to a Mann Made bridge, swapped pickups with SD Hot rodded pickups. It's basically perfect now. Then I bought a Jet JS-400 for the price of the bridge about 5 months ago and haven't put it down. Go figure. I think I gravitate to the Jet because it's a little lighter and easier to play for longer. Still love the PRS though.

  • I had never liked PRS much, but lately, the SE series has really been catching my eye ! This one is visually beautiful, and has a tremendous soundscape capability. I don't know much about their trem system, but it could always be replaced by a Vega Trem and a TUSQ nut, if necessary. I'd like to know the price, but there may be a link in the description… There is not. Why do a video about a new guitar, then not link to it ? Pretty stupid, 'eh ?
I looked it up. It's roughly $806.00 US dollars most places… Damn decent price for such a versatile guitar !
