I have played through one of the Quilter 800 series. It seemed to sound pretty good although the EQ controls were a bit confusing. It will drive a 2 ohm load.
I love the tones you got out this amp, those voicings really give the amp a crazy amount of versatility

800w?
I've been running a Quilter 802 pushing a Darkglass 1000w 2×12 cab and it has been Awesome ! Most heads rated at 800w don't put out the rated wattage but the Quilter 802 can send 980 Watts to cabs and big venues are no problem !
Pretty sure that’s the 110 cab not that it matters much but you say 12 a few times.
I played some quilter guitar amps. But i went with a friedman tube preamp and duncan powerstage. The quilters all sounded bad to me, and werent powerful enough for my stage volume
Am I the only one who thinks it doesn't sound as good directly plugged in? The mic route was much better imo

My Genz-Benz Shuttle 6.0 12T also kind of has that combo-not-a-combo setup up. On that amp it has a bracket mounted on top of the 1×12 into which you can screw down the head. I almost always use it this way, but it’s super easy to just take the head out and use it separately.

Quilter makes fantastic stuff. I am on my 6th Quilter and I love everything they put out.

I own one of the first 100 Quilter Bass Block 800s (Quilter's first edition bass head). It's 3.5lbs of pure joy! Can't wait to try the V803!

Great run down. Love the head, I got one last week. Most versatile head I've ever had. That is the 10" cab, though.
