Mike has been playing the guitar since he was 12 years old, and from that first moment his love affair with music and the instrument began. Fresh out of school at the age of 16 he attended the Academy of Contemporary Music in Guildford and completed a year-long Diploma course.
After finishing the ACM his life as a full time musician began, playing in numerous bands and touring up and down the country playing iconic venues such asThe Shepherds Bush Empire, The Astoria, The Underworld and London’s Jazz Café. He’s also been fortunate enough to support industry legends Paul Weller, Blondie and Katie Melua.
Mike’s session work has led to his working on a variety of projects – from performing with stars such as Ricky Wilson and Diana Vickers, to appearing in many TV shows and adverts. Mike loves being on stage performing, but is equally at home recording in a studio – where he has worked with Alex Von Soos (All Saints, Seal, Atomic Kitten), Mike Horner (The Prodigy, Shakira, Bloc Party), and Mike Chapman (Blondie, Suzi Quatro)

It's a preset EQ pedal BFD!
For: Champagne, red wine and Keyztone (Dont forget Anasounds pedals) Vive la France !…
Hey man, I got a question. If I want my tele to sound like a brighter single coil (kind of like a strat) and I use the bright vintage setting, will it make my tele's already thin sound even thinner? Since using a single coil setting on the pedal makes the humbucker pick up sound thinner, will choosing a single coil setting while using a single coil guitar make the sound even thinner than it usually is?
Hi Mike. I've a question, does it versatiles the guitar's pickup original tones or does it entirely changes the pickups tone?? Like i've a prs se santana singlecut, it doesnt has a coil split option. I need a pedl to convert my guitar's pedals into coilsplit or singlecoil. Now how EXchanger will work?, would it give me a singlecoil tone without effecting my guitar pickups' original tone(it has TCI pickups) or would it effect the tone? Like let's say "hot texas", if i swicth on to hot texas would it entirely convert my pickups tone into hot texas tone?, or would it just "singlecoil" my humbucking pickups keeping the original tone??
Cool video.
One critic : you should test the pedal with no effect volume, the level on the pedal exchanger should be on "zero" or near zero, because there is a volume up effect that is an audio illusion of a "better sound", I think.
Unbelievable! I’m amazed. Have to get it.
Can I use this pedal with an acoustic guitar?
I’ve bought a 2nd one because I’m scared that they don‘t build them anymore, when my first pedal will be broken! haha
I think it‘s one of the best pedals I’ve bought. They improve your pickup sound A LOT! And the dynamic is incredible.
Can‘t get over it, why this pedal isn‘t more famous then the 162th version of a tubescreamer.
@Bradley Do you use the pedal anymore and at live gigs?
A Hamstead and an Angry Charlie, this man watches That Pedal Show
Yup! I bought one! GAS! YES GAS!
can you demo keyztone with a cheap guitar?
Do you still own this mike
mike hi
Out of all the videos of this thing, this one is the one that sold this product to me, great job:)
Curious to hear what in-between pickup selections sound like through this pedal.
I'd like to hear your 345's varitone compared to the pedal.
Best demo of this thing I have seen so far. It does what it says it does too.
Great video i loved it
10:07 –10:28 just, wow
awesome pedal <3 i need one hehe
These things are so kick arse! I love the Exchanger. Great stuff mate! ????
Your playing is great, as always. The pedal sounds good, too. Are you going to NAMM this year?
is that strat ocean turquoise or sherwood green?
Awsome video
Dose this mean you only need one guitar
Mike are you sick or are you feeling ok. It seems something is bothering you or you aren't your best.
ehx knockout pedal is pretty good for the same thing 30yr old design and cheap 🙂
What a great idea for a pedal! Sounds really good and saves changing pickups or your guitar.
Great demo Mike!
Nice versatile pedal ! I want also want to know your opignion about the Friedman BE-OD 🙂 thank's
Did you not forget to switch the toggle when going to the hb?
i wonder if using high output active humbuckers plugged into this would get the clearest single coil sounding tone ever?
whats the name of the first song?
Great playing, great tones, great video blah blah blah but, I find the layout of those pictures a little disturbing and it's really triggering my OCD, so, fix that. Mkay??
Wow, that strat got some balls with the pedal!
Sounds good – no coupon?
