Greatest stuff! One of my all time favourite riffs…
Great lesson! Muddy waters intro is played so good…❤
Awesome tone!
Muddy Waters reused the Rollin’ Stone melody and arrangement in Still a Fool, a year later.
No
As a fellow guitarist, to me the all time greatest riff is He-man woman hater by Extreme. Nuno is on another level.
Such a great pure blues riff! I wonder if it might have inspired that great intro riff to Hear My Train A Comin’ Hendrix played in the Berkeley version.
Brown Sugar by ZZ Top
Subjective title but you put it into context beautifully, Jeff.
You're a very good orator on top of being an incredible legendary player. ????
This sounds so good. I have to ask, what is the signal chain to get that tone?
They all make me want to grab a beer!
What a fantastic video have a wonderful weekend jeff also how is the family ❤❤❤❤❤❤????????????????????????
That "Greatest Riff Ever" was the "Coolest Electric Blues Riff Ever!" ???? (The title of one of my favorite "Brooklyn lock down" McErlain streams, dated 24Feb21.) A continuing thank you Jeff!
Picked this up from your Blues Bootcamp, was very mechanical when working from the tab, had to get away from the tab, and tried to approach it in a more relaxed manner once I had the note sequence memorized which helped with the flow of it.
Ever since watching your live streams over and over on this, Billy's sugar blues and Clapton's ramblin on my mind, it's what I play every single time I pick up my guitar. Family may get sick of it soon, can't thank you enough for the inspiration you bring me daily Jeff! Truly, thank you!
Your guitar sounds great!! Whats the amp?
Never gets old
I was sceptical about the title at first. But having watched now, I think you're probably right! 😉 Thanks Jeff!
Been on a Hendrix kick lately, I love that riff. ????????
If my guitar sounded like that… excellent!
A great lesson! Thank you for this. It sounds so simple but hard to master. A bit like the blues.
Just finished the catfishin' lesson in the course a few days ago and moved on to the rambling mind one.
That course is fantastic and *highly recommended! *
Beyond teaching you invaluable skills and techniques, it's incredibly fun to go through and practicing is a blast!
awsome the heartbeat never stops
It's not just helping a bit, but a lot for a blues lover who wanna start to learn basic blues ❤
Gotta be the baddest riff ever. It’s all swagger, no fluff.
Got this from a lesson on TrueFire
Love this! Thank you soooo much ….
Great little lesson
The beauty of the riff is the simplicity. You can spend a lifetime on it and always be learning something new. Thanks Jeff!
Great video. Great tone too. Very inspirational. Thanks.
Even when you try to play it crappy it still sounds good LOL
i was JUST going to say its like Voodoo child and then you said it…haa…great….and Voodoo child was (in my view) one of the easier to learn riffs at the time…..but it wasn't to "everybodys" taste then…a bit too faaar ahead…like a lot of Jimi's stuff was….cheers…have a nice weekend….
Great riff Jeff. And the reference to the drumming ‘flam’ is a good description for the hammer on
Seems the lower you tune your guitar with that riff the ballsier it gets!
