Jeff Waters of Annihilator | 2015 tour rig rundown with Hughes & Kettner
Watch as Jeff Waters of thrash godfathers Annihilator takes us through his simple yet devastatingly effective live rig!
We caught up with Jeff before the band’s show at Luxembourg’s den Atelier venue in November 2015 and he showed us his HUghes & Kettner GrandMeister 36 setup, his ergonomic pedalboard and the other little bits and pieces he needs to get an Annihilator crowd whipped up into a frenzy!
We also did a full sit-down interview with Jeff later on that day, where he told us all about his favorite guitar amp recording techniques, plans for the next Annihilator album, and a whole lot more! Watch that interview here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jxBLQ7it31M&feature=youtu.be

Anyone else piss themselves laughing when he started talking?
Jeff reminds me a little of Ryan Reynolds.
Boss pedal is always recognisable, no matter how much insulating tape you would put on it)

Hughes and Kettner Warp X all the way! Can't go wrong with HK.
If you are playing clubs, this is ALL you really need. My TM18 does more than enough with my 1X12 LORANTZ or 1X15 SAMMI!
The most temperature i get on the top is around 53°C. But i don't play in hot places.
For that small case and whats inside, thats an amazingly low temperature. And 2 minutes after, its lukewarm.
I saw gigantic heads that had all the space they needed and you could burn yourself on the back half an hour after the gig. I guess not everybody who builds amps looks into heat transfer. The hughes&kettner guys shure do.
I'm still convinced, that if they were American, they would be bigger and more popular than Metallica/Megadeth. Annihilator has much more melody, diversity and still is a consistent sounding band when comparing. Thanks for the great rig-rundown and the great music!
