  • Hi JHS, please make a pedal that is based on RAT and has 3 switchable gains (one RAT circuit but has 3 switches to set different gains) and one separate switch for activating "voltage starve model". That pedal would be overdrive, distortion, mega high gain, and fuzz in one pedal. It can be called "Sewer" because it!s full of RATs 😀

  • I like Josh. For me he’s like heroin I can only take him in small doses. I held off watching this for 3 years because I’m an addict. I’m buying the pedal…….its cheaper than my therapy.

  • still weird to me that this is still the only pedal Pro Co makes. (this and few different versions of the Rat. but they’re all still The Rat)

  • My favorite settings are the WHT and BRAT settings. It's the ones i use most. I hadn't even heard of the BRAT before this.

  • Great pedal! LA and Love Cannon are my faves, the JHS option is a very cool Hendrixy fuzz that’s pretty dynamic. Turbo is my fave clone mode!

  • Love my PackRat…wild thing happened at gig last Saturday …after finishing a song, voices of two people were coming through my amp…totally sounded like an old AM radio station…I clicked off my delay first…still voices…clicked off my EQ… still voices..clicked off my PackRat and the voices stopped…and yes, others heard the voices too (first thing my wife asked me)…we were playing a celebration of life party for a friend who died last month which added to the mystery….it eventually faded out completely, but had the band and the people up close freaking out for a few minutes…we chalked it up to someone on a cellphone nearby, but never could prove that…
I truly love the pedal….peace and Happy New Year.

  • I own a Keeley moded
ProCo RAT (led). Only the RAT LOGO on the top in the rectangle… with no logo proco to the left of the rectangle box RAT.
There is a ProCo logo on the front face of the pedal.
On the back of the pedal is a mini- toggle installed by Keeley with a mini-power plugin.
The pedal also runs on a 9v power source.
I have owned the pedal since 2000, pd $95 for it and the enclosure has to be most well constructed effects boxes out of all of my effects pedals to this date.
Pedal weights in at 1.7 lbs. ¡¥¡

  • Those drums sound PHENOMENAL! Are those the actual kit or triggered? Judging by the lugs, I'm 95% sure it's a C&C kit. I'm currently in the process of ordering a kit from them and have been on the fence about certain specs. If this is in fact a C&C kit, could you tell me the specs (i.e. sizes, shells, bearing edges)? If I'm wrong, what kind of kit is that? Seriously some of the best sounding drums I've ever heard and I've been playing/building drums for 25+ years.

  • I don't remember which episode it was, but there was one that asked me to let you know about an album I listened to extensively, to the point I couldn't listen to it anymore. I just finished sorta-watching this episode. I say that only because I may be doing the same, relative to the question, as an equation based on listening. Simple, yet, I've come to love Record Time. Means I've been watching + listening = enjoying, becoming accustomed with… Thank you. So, here I am writing this comment, looking at an album I haven't listened to since, hold on, I have to do the math… A Rush of Blood to the Head came out in 2002. Judge me as you will, but I listened to this album so close to every day for at least a year, many days it was multiple times. I was in a stage of my life where I was learning. I was in college, basic stuff, yet willing to chase it, try to maybe overcome it somehow. This silly album somehow inspired me. I think I had an underlying feeling of sadness, misunderstanding. Okay, this is it. I've told you mine, and a little more. Here I go, a little excited, and a little afraid. I'm going to listen to A Rush of Blood to the Head for the first time since over 20 years. I expect it will not dismay.

  • You have a lot of rats ????

Question, companies that make these huge pedals do they know how annoying that is on a big board ???????????? ( I know most of them are the vintage verities ) but small compact with a big sound ????????
    Moog ? ????????

  • TOTAL GOOF UP! What a missed opportunity on the name of this pedal! You shoulda named it the Rat King. Google it at your own risk! but you woulda been perfect for the tying together of many rats.

  • I just want to leave some appreciation for that Rat drummer. There are not many drummers on YouTube that I would want in a band. He would be one.

  • This one topic is better than Forattini's comics book, especially the Roadkill, I don't wanna brag who the Brat's pedal was for. But the circuit? I guess someone at home has thought that 3D printing was not enough to ask fifty bucks or more for a 9V amp. That was the mission, giving the channel switch its own twist, thing that people who wrote Marshall on a kids toy made mostly of plastic never did first. But don't tell me that feeding periodically the phyton was never involved into this product placement. I guess the invertion on the filter went well with the Benz destroyed on the roof floor, there. Did I know that girl, before or after the Rat? I still don't have many dandruff issues, nowithstanding the place where I live. Lou X is not that same Noyz Narcos now? And what about Dana Osmund without the sixth letter, Katy said so? Not to mention that you both were messing with my eyewear, a black original, a sandy pair of aviator and that one pair of boots with vaseline and the Smiths records. That Tony Hawk picture into that sewer kill me, like Tony Iommi wouldn't give that blonde, not blind, guest a ride. I don't know. Namastè.
