Joe Hubbard Publishes “Intense Bass Warm-Up Guide” – No Treble
Get ready to work up a sweat, because Joe Hubbard has launched a new instructional book. Intense Bass Warm-Up Guide aims to help elevate your technique while getting you ready for the gig.
“This guide is more than just a warm-up routine,” says Hubbard. “It’s designed to bridge the gap between practice and performance, ensuring that every exercise has direct application to real-world playing situations.”
The book features 24 practice etudes written in both standard notation and tablature. Each piece incorporates a wide range of techniques, including modal fingerboard patterns, diminished and augmented scale patterns, 12-tone improvisational lines, and altered dominant 7th ideas. Hubbard will also work your brain and fingers with exercises in odd time signatures, linear chromaticism, and bebop scale cycle drills.
