I have all of Larry Coryell's guitar education publications (LP's, DVD's, and Books w/ CD's). The book you've covered is great for learning the modes and some other scales, as well as some intermediate studies. The original 1 + 2 Blues is a lot of fun as a solo guitar or guitar duo piece. You can hear his first recording of this song with Philip Catherine. I think a good book to get after this would be Power Jazz Guitar by Larry… great for intermediate and advanced players, and even less experienced players could benefit from this volume. Larry was one of the greats, and his interest in moving music and guitar education further ahead is evident in his output. Thanks for reviewing this book & CD set… think I'll dig mine out again and go over some of the material. :0)
