Just Friends – SOLO JAZZ GUITAR
My arrangement of the jazz standard, “Just Friends,” written by John Klenner and Sam M. Lewis. Starting off with my bread and butter on this one – a jazzy, or in this case gospel-y, opening cadenza. It turned out to be an interesting challenge to make the transition to the start of the tune – first chord Cmaj7 – sound fresh. So, in the opening cadenza I hit just about every possible chord in G other than Cmaj7. Enjoy.

This is great man. The deeper into it you get, the more of a Joe pass feel it takes on. Awesome

Another marvelous lively and pretty arrangement that so emotive and is influential to me as a guitarist who likes Jazz Standards, and your skill at making the melody pretty is wonderful!
