Knobloch Actives QZ Nylon String Review – Medium 300ADQ – Classical Guitar

Today I’m reviewing Knobloch’s QZ Nylon Actives strings in medium tension. With a clear tone, good projection and even volume between basses and trebles, the QZ Nylon offer a more contemporary sound to the traditional sweetness of the Knobloch SL Nylon.

  • Nice review! I love these stings! You sold me on them ever since you recommended them to me, that's all I have been playing! I use to be almost exclusively play Da'ddario. I am shocked at how quick they settle in, they also last a long time too!

  • Thanks for the great review ????Once I listened to Knobloch trebles I fell in love with their sound, but rather not with the bass strings. As I had to get a new set anyway I mixed the trebles of the Knobloch Erithacus EDN 33.5 with the D‘Addario EJ45 bass strings. They fit together extremely well at least on my guitar which has a linden wood body what resonates great on mid and bass tones but not so much on the trebles so the strings leveled that out perfectly.

  • Greetings. I looked at some of your trying comparisons. Are knobloch strings your favorite? Now that you tried all, or nearly all of them, do you have a favorite within the line? You seemed to like the Leo Brouwer a lot.

  • Interesting video, Josh. Well played, and I know what you mean about the string having that "punch" to it, like the Savarez New Cristal, just has that punch.

  • Good job , Josh. They sound balanced. Might give those a try. I’m enjoying Aquila Alchemia on my Yamaha right now and still using the Aquila Zaffiro on my Córdoba C10. The basses are definitely heavier on my C10 so these may work. Cheers
