those fairy doors saved my ass one time ????. back in my drug days when i would do a show, i would put however many pills i needed for that night in a little baggy and cram them into the fairy door. one day on the way to a show i got pulled over and searched. if I hadn’t have used the fairy door, he probably would have found them. he and his partner looked all through my car and they even opened the guitar case and looked through all the compartments.. the ???? door saved me. that was like a decade ago, i wouldn’t recommend this. but if you have to they do make a good hiding spot for little things ????????

I freaking love the look. I'll be contemplating on purchasing one. In todays world, I don't believe the guitar matters too much, in the tone department. I say this because, all you need to do it adjust your amp. I've heard teles made to sound like LPs, and vice versa. Peace, dude.

Poke Seems to have many flaws…: change this, change that… humbucker unfit….One person commented it has sharp fret ends he had to varnish them (on a second hand vendor site). Hurting saddle screws is something that should NOT exist in a 800€ thing. Hard bump on the lower horn… what else ?
For the volume knob is too high and to close to strings .. who really needs such features ? Don't like the funky tone.

poke indeed … would be my choice for a super lightweight guitar … until I found out that it's a fender 648mm scale and not a Gibson 630mm – a disappointment !

I have replaced the "saddle screws" with shorter ones on two of my guitars you should be able to get replacements at any guitar shop. Cheers from Canada. ~ulrich
I bought a very similar model a few years back. Ibanez guitars are so well made. Sadly, the Wizard neck just isn't for me. I went to Charvel.

Since I have scoliosis back problems, I went for the base model which is the S521 MOL.
IMO, chosing meranti for the body is a cheap move as it dents easily.
It’s also the kind of wood used on cheap wooden frame windows.
Very fragile wood…
At that price point, they could have used sapele or selected alder or roasted swamp ash.
Also, they changed the wood for the neck which was wenge multiply for roasted maple neck…
I feel like they went for cheap alternatives comparing to the original version while keeping the same pricing level :-/
