  • I bought mines in 2021. It was in the store for like three or four months but the blueburst finish was beautiful I’ve seen others at guitar centers, website, and Music go round on the Internet and they didn’t the finished didn’t look so good so I understand that I love mines

  • Man! I love this !! I’d take that pickguard off right away! I always wanted the Awrodyne then played one at guitar center and hated it, I’ll never own one and it was probably because of the setup,

  • I have a Player Series Jazz Bass, just a standard one with the tidepool finish. I absolutely love it, the tone and playability are fantastic. However, mine did have a few QC issues on arrival, first there was absolutely no factory set up done as the action was super high and the truss rod was loose, took more than a full turn to get the neck adjusted. Second, the fret edges were pretty rough, not as bad as some I've played but still not great. Third, the plastic tone knob was broken! There were no signs of impact to the factory sealed box so I'm pretty sure it was packaged that way. I took a chance and bought mine off of Amazon during a Black Friday sale a couple years ago, got $200 off the normal price, and so I didn't complain as all three issues I could fix quickly myself. But I absolutely agree that unless you're comfortable fixing minor QC issues I would play it before buying it. But if you do find a good one they are absolutely awesome basses.

  • I’m quite a bit of a jazz bass kinda guy myself but Ibanez makes a better flame maple green bass. The Ibanez Sr1400. One year they offered it in green flame like that and I still am looking to get one for a great price.

  • I bought the blue burst for 680 and it was almost perfect out of the box. Fit, finish, frets, all were great. I know the MIMs can be hit or miss but I think I lucked out with mine.
