  • So why you selling the Revv then? What did you upgrade to? I saw the Revv in white in this video and listened to it – then searched for it, and yours came up on reverb.. I love the white. It might be a bit weird having an amp with someone else’s name though ????

  • Can the noise gate be used to tame my high gain amp's noise, or only noise caused by the HX unit itself? (I prefer my EVH 5150III El34's red channel for high gain vs the HX, but I still want to use delay and such from thr HX)

  • Can I plug this into my amp and still have 6 effects running simultaneously? Or do u need to take up a switch with the line to my amp?

  • Hmm, it took me like zero time to figure out the HX Effects. The Helix must be like the simplest thing ever.

  • Hi !

I was wondering what makes the Nova so great ? The unit is quite old … is there something very special about it ? I am considering buying it but what when comparing with line 6 hx Effects ?

  • it looks expensive…my only question would be if it is good for what I want for my sound…plus there is an app on the phone that gives you a bunch of digital pedal effects for $50 bucks…

  • Better late than ever, great review and post! I have been thinking of going this direction but definitely wanted to keep it easy to manage. Looks like the HX will fit the bill so thanks for the honest review and great post! Sub’d

  • Got me one of these things on the way from Sweetwater. Gonna go great with my Boss Katana I think… Thanks for the demo!

  • hello friend. im planning to get just the helix effects (without the amp sims) was wondering whether the dry signal of my amp will be lost when i dime the reverb mix since ill be running the fx in front of my actual amp. thanks in advance!

  • Hey man two things at first: nice playing and nice review! thankyou for sharing with us your opinion and the incredible sound of this advanced computer processor with form of pedal XDDDDD. I have 2 questions; it has and amp emulation? and te USB connection works as and audio interfaces to? for direct recording?

  • It has an IR section. Can i use it as a cabinet simulation? Im not using a cabinet, just a preamp. That would be great for “just one pedalboard” all-in-one setup… thank you

  • This would be perfect with phantom power and a dedicated multicore cable. The power adapter sucks.

  • Fantastic! Did you try assigning aggression levels/bright/fat with it as well? They are midi controllable too. I VERY interested in getting this unit to go with my revv – side note, trying to do this with something with a lot of amp modelling built in (like my 11rack) hasn't been nearly as successful.

  • This is a tight unit. I use it with my EVH 5150 iii combo and it sounds great. I added a volume and wah pedal to it but that’s a personal preference. As mentioned in the video, there is a learning curve but it’s fairly intuitive once you get the hang of the main features. Definitely worth the investment if you’re looking to add high quality effects to a tube amp.

  • How might this compare to the Fractal FX8? Been debating between these two for a while.
