  • DISC 2 is a limited "RE-LOVEBITES EP", a rerecorded version of LOVEBITES' debut EP "The LOVEBITES EP" with Fami on bass.
"The LOVEBITES EP" reloaded. With a little difference (apart from Fami): "Bravehearted" is in the English version, not the Japanese one!

  • This is definitely my favorite song on the EP. It made my top ten Lovebites songs. Epic intro, Fami's bass, and the drums during the ending were highlights for me.

  • Your sound levels are spot on. I can hear your comments and the music is loud enough at the same time. If you liked Fami's contribution in this one, I await your reaction to Someone's Dream with interest. ????????????????????????

  • The thing I like, and look for, from a bass guitar is to hear the "bubbling of the cauldron" underneath the band's riffs and melodic patterns, which, to me, is what gives a lot of character to the song. The melodies are there to "catch" your attention, but the overall structure and audible presence of all instruments within the sound picture make the song a pleasure to re-listen time after time! And with a bassist like Fami, I am glad the band recognized what they have and brought her forward, both in their recordings and in the newest Live versions. The rest speaks for itself. m/

  • This song gives me very much post Ozzy Black Sabbath vibe at the start, the guitar tone and riff is very Iommi.

  • FYI the Bell in the Jail, Fami edition is the same song with a collage of Fami pictures a fan put together.

  • My favorite song on the EP, it's a bit different from a lot of their stuff, it was an awesome surprise!!
One of my favorite things about this new EP is how diverse it is without losing that Lovebites sound! ????????????
The 2nd disc is a re-recording of their first EP with the current lineup!

  • LOVEBITES – The Bell In The Jail lyrics & credits:

Bell in the Cathedral waking up cities

Fishers out, flowers lined, ready to start

High above behind the stoned wall

From the small window, watching the crowd

Whisper of Gargoyle, my heart is dancing

    Dreaming of the world outside

    Like a song of prayer

Like a swaying of the wind

Bell will change it's way to ring

by what the heart is filled

Like a pouring rain on land

    Like a stroke of thunderstorm

    Hear the bell ring again

No way out of this sanctuary

    Solos: midori / twin

Preaching racists, pretending to be good

Wanting to rule other's, filled with greed

Screams of hearts always wasted and left out

Visciously, bring the innocents to death

    What is ugliness

    What is foolishness

You can't measure with your eyes

    Like a song of prayer

Like a swaying of the wind

Bell will change it's way to ring

by what the heart is filled

Like a pouring rain on land

    Like a stroke of thunderstorm

    Hear the bell ring again

No way out of this sanctuary

    Who's the monster

    Who's the man

    Asking to my instinct

    What makes a monster

    What makes a man

    Asking to my instinct

    Who's the monster

    Who's the man

    Asking to my instinct

  • I agree that it starts off more different, but even later on, it’s more different than their usual. There is also a bit more breathing room for Fami here, giving the feeling of the band working together as an entire unit, compared to just squeezing Fami in somewhere with a bass solo. The guitar solo also doesn’t feel robotic, it’s very soulful and works to pull you deeper into the song, all while the song itself feels refreshingly different for Lovebites in general. My favorite song from the new EP.

  • Disc 2 is a re-recording of their original EP. It's not on their Youtube channel, so the only way you can listen to it is to buy the version of the EP that comes with the bonus disc. I guess you could call it a collectors edition.

  • This is like a hard bridear song – I absolutely love it a collab between lovebites and bridear would rock 9/10 ???????????? MIYAKO!!!!❤

  • Disc 2 is because they included the EP1 re-recorded as an extra.

I thought the B-sides in this EP were great, better than the singles.

  • This is my current fav track on the new EP. Fami has very fascinating basslines in this and the last track.

  • I think that what Haruna does sometimes goes overlooked. Yeah, she's brilliant at keeping the beat and she seems to have endless stamina. But the little accents she throws in, her cymbal work, little flourishes that always, always add something interesting to the song and never detract from it is a skill and a talent that deserves more praise and acknowledgement, and it's great to see you specifically mention that. This is a really cool song.

  • Fami put her flair on a couple of the songs on Judgement Day, but Miyako had already written the bass parts and Fami didn't have time to change it all. But in an interview she said she was excited because on EPII she was part of the actual writing and creating experience for the First Time in a 'real band'. I have a feeling we are only scratching the surface here – and if Fami gets 'noticed' for the aggressive bass play they will surely give her more chances to shine. And not just because she's a great bassist, because they Love her. It is heartwarming how close they have all become in the last couple of years

  • Definitely my favorite from the EP! Awesome heavy parts, darker feeling and certainly something outside the(ir) "norm".
Actually a lot of my favorite Lovebites songs are from their EPs (i.e. Above the black sea, Spellbound, Puppet on strings) and it seems they're often a bit more experimental or "daring" on them and I love that. Not to say that their other songs aren't great, too ????
