I think neck wood matters more than the body wood. If it’s a hollow with a humbucker or PAF, then yea it’s gonna matter for sure.

I wouldn't call a +$6k guitar after tax a "gigging" guitar…unless said gigs have personal butlers to ensure guitars aren't damaged… but it definitely is pretty cool.
Beautiful guitar. The violin burst is now my number one favorite finish. And the “bucks” sound full and fat. Great presentation again. As Chris once said, I looked at my wife with raised eyebrows and she returned with a frown and a head shake. This is a beautiful guitar on all levels.

Love the feel of a thin line. But why do they all have to have humbuckers… I don’t enjoy those pickups in a tele. Classic 2 singles or even a Nashville setup would be perfect.

I just found a 52(?) reissue Hot Tele, with SD etched mini humbucker pickup in neck and Fender bridge pickup,…was a Music GO Round on Blanco. It was listed as a partscaster but the only change appears to be the body, its a single piece of wood 8.4 lb…on an electric it probably can increase sustain…but I leave tone woods to acoustic players, it does count.
