MAKE ANY PASSIVE BASS ACTIVE!!! With the Legendary SADOWSKY PREAMP Pedal SBP-2!
The Sadowsky SBP-2 Bass Preamp offers bassists the same electronics that have been built into every Sadowsky bass for over 30 years. The preamp pedal is perfect for use with an effects setup on the front end of an amplifier. The controls are kept simple with only Volume, Treble and Bass, with the Treble and Bass being “boost only”. The SBP-2 Bass Preamp is perfect for use with vintage instruments where you prefer to keep the original electronics intact. The SBP-2 works best with passive basses or circuits with active pickups where you can bypass the active electronics. It also works great with upright bass pickups.

Thanks for the demo
dear Lars, pretty good demo video. The purchase decision was now easy. In reality there is no difference, but the performance of the SBP-2 is not only great with "old vintage basses", but also fantastic in use with my new passive Sandberg BTW and my active Sandberg Booster. Important: the sound ot the bass is not changed by this device
song title please @ 3:10 mark
I use it with a passive Fender Jazz and it definitely adds a Sadowsky / Marcus Miller spark. It's cheaper than an onboard Sadowsky preamp, does not require any modification in a bass, works forever on a battery and can be used with multiple instruments (although with a Jazz it makes the most sense, for example a Warwick Thumb works better with it's onboard MEC preamp, as it boosts different frequencies).
The warwick looks like a mini bass..
Nice video Lars ♪
It would have been better if the pedal had top jacks plus a Blend Mix control to blend in the Dry Unactive bass with the Active Bass. I'm not sure what is so special or different about the Sadowsky preamp compare to other bass preamp pedals?
Nice to add a P-Bass before a wah pedal, which takes out too much gain out of the signal
Nice price—love it. Great rig; to die for. Thanks Lars!
